Next Up: vs Steelers (Wild Card Round)

Harbaugh also saying Zay is day-to-day. Not season ending.

My gut says that’s probably a little coach speak to make it seem like he’s got a path to play. I have a hard time believing he’s an option this week but I’d like nothing more than to be proven wrong.

im assuming he's out

if he plays at all i'd be very surprised and i'm assuming in that scenario his playing time will be very carefully managed

if he plays without limits ill be very pleasantly shocked

The thing is you can't just abandon the pass and run, hard to make that work. The reason(s) our offense has been so powerful this year has been the ability to do either well.
But they have to do the same

And I don’t believe Russ or their skill guys on O are any more inclined than ours in the snow.

Their defensive front is a bit concerning, mostly heyward watt and Benton, that’s 3 guys who could make a huge difference in a snow game

I think that's a guess on his part. Right?

So Zay is likely out until AFCC

The closer this game gets the worse I feel about it. Snow would favor Pittsburgh as the Ravens passing offense is more dynamic. It also favors the more physical team, which Pittsburgh is way more physical of a team. I hate to be negative, but I do think the Ravens get bounced round 1 and Lamar will be cemented as a playoff choker.

Man I need monken to seriously cook something up with the 2 TE set. Zay out, possible snow game, Derrick Henry, you NEED to get the ground game going with the 2 te set and then pass out of it. We have mark Andrews and Isaiah likely and one of the greatest power backs of all time, and still have a starting WR, we absolutely should not take a big hit from zay flowers being out, obviously he’s a weapon, and you’ll miss him, BUT we have more than enough to make it work without him.

So we bringing in Odell? I have faith in Wallace, Batemen, and Agh but we need some depth behind them.

I'm worried Russ will turn it on for one final playoff run. He hasn't been great lately but he threw some great balls yesterday that his WRs flat out dropped. We keep the pressure on Russ and he will make the key mistake.
I feel one of our season-long problems has been getting consistent pressure. Don't get me wrong, Van Noy and Oweh have done an awesome job, but it seems like we have very few pressures that don't result in a sack. It's like, when they do make the pressure, they get the sack most of the time. But we need a lot of attempts.

The problem I see with this is it condenses the formation if they play them at the TE spot. Will need to move Andrews and Likely on the outside from time to time. This requires the o-line to do their job. Pittsburgh can't just rush with 3 or 4 and win every time like they did in the first meeting. We really need Russ to flop in this one.

Why would we have to depend on Russ playing badly? lol We have Lamar and The King, a record setting run game.
It's tournament time, gotta believe any opponent is going to bring their best, we need to execute and do the same. If we do we're obviously the better team and should win handily.

We have had 315 pressures, which includes hurries, hits and saks. 56 of those have been sacked so we have had 259 pressures that didn't result in a sack.

What I've taken away from this season is yes the run game is great but it has been stifled quite a few times. If it's snowing and without Zay that takes an element away that allows Pittsburgh to stack the box with an extra guy more often. While this o-line has improved, they still get overpowered quite a bit. I really can see a lot of 3 and outs and punts in this game.

But we have the better run game and better OC. I actually think the possibility of snow is in our favor.
