Supposedly a down year for QBs

The names that seem to be most hyped at the top of the class this year are Shedeur Sanders and Cam Ward

Jalen Milroe also has some hype around him too... Maybe quinn ewers if he comes out, but he may well enter the transfer portal

As per usual, the more QBs that go high, the more players at other positions get pushed down the board to us

All of these QBs are good and suck at the same time. What a shitty year to need one. I think I'd wait until 2026 if I had the opportunity.

I actually think Dart could be successful as a starter. Let him go to a team like the Rams, Steelers, or Seahawks to compete with a decent squad.

Ewers feels like bargain bin Baker. He has that fiery personality, and will fight fight like hell for a win. But just doesn't have the arm talent, or instincts to be a franchise guy. Not a bad backup QB option though.

Short write-ups on what I think of the "top" guys so far

Shedeur Sanders - poised and accurate, but also maybe a little too poised - can make all of the throws but arm talent isn't anything special

Cam Ward - liveliest arm of the bunch, but a mechanical reset is needed - also not sure he can read a defense day 1

Jaxson Dart - plays with competitiveness but is far too reckless with the ball and was in a one-read offense

Jalen Milroe - has a really good arm but not the accuracy nor the IQ

Will Howard - maybe one of the cleaner players overall from a tape perspective, but lacks overall traits at the next level

Dillon Gabriel - small but feisty and smart, probably won't wow you but could have a decent run as a starter before the league catches on

Quinn Ewers - does some things well but arm is only okay and poise isn't great, processing feels super slow

Kyle McCord - statue/pocket passer who gets caught starting too much, but plays well when in rhythm

Riley Leonard - raw ability is there, one of the few guys I might take with an eye toward developing

Tyler Shough - the guy that should be talked about more in the group, but will be hurt by his age and still needing development

haven't watched shough or mccord yet

a few things on the other guys though...

the big thing for me with shedeur is he creates so much of his own pressure and we've seen those guys fail a lot in the transition to the NFL - and as you say, i think the traits are fine but not special

jalen milroe also is a legit good runner which raises the floor - if he's available on day 3, i'd happily pick him up as a potential backup, but i think he should go earlier based on the traits

and will howard is fine but is lacking nfl traits

i agree about riley leonard, he's definitely my favourite QB in the class

Milroe is so confusing to me because he can put those deep balls on a dot, but then he’ll miss wildly short and mid range. There’s certainly a lot to like there, but also a lot to dislike. That’s kind of the class in general but Milroe is definitely one I feel at least decent about with the right development.

It’s a weird year where I get the reason why teams would like all of these guys for one reason or another, but also realize you can’t ignore that none of them are clean prospects. I’m not sure I’d touch any of these guys until at least day 2 in a normal class where there are a couple of guys that rise above the rest.

milroe and leonard are the two guys that im most interested in for the ravens

i can see why ward and sanders are gonna be the first two to go but im not a fan at all

but that's the privilege of having an elite MVP QB - you don't have to worry about how good the QBs in the class are...
