First impression is that it's not a particularly strong LB class.

Jalon Walker looks great, but he seems more like an EDGE to me.

Jihaad Campbell might be the headliner of this class.

With Trenton Simpson getting benched, the ravens might be looking for another LB to develop to upgrade from Chris Board and Malik Harrison.

Danny Stutsman, the hard hitting LB from Oklahoma, would be a fantastic pick-up in the middle rounds. Really smart player that's great at working through traffic, and disciplined in coverage. He won't have eye popping athleticism, but he's a good football player that gets the job done. The comment I saw on his highlight video said it best: He looks like the kind of guy who will be a later round draft pick and end up being a 10 year veteran in the NFL.

Chris Paul Jr from Ole Miss plays like what people wanted Queen to become, a sideline to sideline LB that's always around the ball. He would give the defense a lot of flexibility.

wouldn't hate it in the 3rd round - definitely a top 100 type guy

Smael Mondon is my vote for most underrated player in the class. I admittedly can't scout LB well but he has way too many good plays on tape to have this little hype.

he's definitely explosive with great tackling ability, but he's going to have to get into a weight room as he has below average size for the position. I fiear if he gains the weight he needs he will lose his explosiveness.

But don't we have similar issues for a guy like Schwesinger who's projected 2 rounds earlier ?

If you are talking about Schwesinger, his playing weight was 225, but he was 242 at the combine and didn't seem to lose any athleticism. That being said, Schwesinger's run defense grade was good even at his 225 playing weight. Monson was also good in run defense but I'd say his processing speed tends to lack at times.

schwesinger's not maxed out his frame whereas mondon's maxed out, also has a foot injury that needs checking out

i also just dont think he diagnoses and keys well on plays - feels late to get to his spot consistently

basically the only thing draftable about him (for me) is his explosion and athleticism

on the other side of things... lance zierlein agrees with you in terms of grading those 2 guys - has both of them as 2nd round picks, schwesinger as a higher 2nd but still both in the same general area in terms of grades

also worth noting:

i'm assuming this is to check out the foot, but the ravens do typically draft a day 3 guy (or 2) who visited on top 30 visits
