The King, the Lamar, and the 3rd Quarter

He'll say it was because it was working and also a lot was from Lamar. Both of which are true. That being said, I agreed with you, a run heavy gameplan was pretty fucking obvious ahead of time.
I could not have envisioned the run game really working THAT well.
Lamar running so much was the key, hopefully we keep it up. Fingers crossed he can hold up for 4 games in 5 weeks running like that.

Buddy told me not alot of Steelers fans showed up. Perhaps they were waving the white flag, either way Ravens fans packed the place and provided a solid home field advantage

Great things happen when the Ravens stay true to their identity and scheme.

Yeah there was talk that tickets were cheap yesterday morning and I expected a decent amount of Steelers fans but maybe their apathy this year explained why prices were more reasonable. Ended up working out great either way

I think there were a lot teams and players that were dirty in earlier eras, not just the steelers. Rules were much different.
I watched football through the early 2000s, they were exceptionally dirty back then as well, more than most franchises. They’ve consistently been this way from the beginning

Up until Friday there were absolute shitloads of tickets available, season ticket holder I work with couldn’t even give them away for free.

I said in the next up thread that the Steelers were gonna overcorrect after getting gashed by Henry, they certainly did and Lamar made it so they genuinely couldn’t do shit.
They actually started overreacting from a get go. Just crashing down on Henry, no matter what.

Agreed. You also mentioned about them in the 70s and they were nasty then as well, but so were a bunch of others.

Made the game day decision to go to the game since tickets were cheap, especially for Ravens Steelers playoffs with all the narratives in play. Bank was rocking, it was a fun time for sure.

It looked like Queen was vomiting around the time of the timeout the Steelers took near the end of the 1st half. Their defense was gassed in that second quarter.

Harbaugh himself had to motion for the crowd to quiet down with the MVP chants when they were running the clock down.

I think they had a bug going through their locker room.

That video is great! Guessing the yinzers that came will think twice next year. lol

@rmcjacket23 where you at big dog? I said 70/30 split and you were giving me shit.
Last night:
Rush: 70.4%
Pass: 29.6%

Standing by for your response tomorrow at work lol
Did you factor in Lamar into that split, since he was the key to all of it?
With the way last night went, a 50/50 split would have ended in something similar. If not more dominant.

I know that’s what I’m saying. They over corrected from the last game. First they refused to let Lamar win with his legs, then Henry made them pay, then they refused to Henry beat them, and Lamar took over, and then they just couldn’t do shit after that

Them boys was in hell. They dared Lamar to beat them with his legs and Lamar started doing just that. Then they started keying on Lamar and Henry went off. They had absolutely no idea who to try to stop save for one random drive in Q3.

They went after moral victories in the end, their defensive formations said “yall might beat us, but you ain’t gon just run out the clock on us!” We could ran few a simple play actions and went absolutely nuts on the scoreboard, but we chose to just keep making them step the run.

Of course I did , he’s the most dangerous runner on the field. Lamar might not love it but 10-15 carries a game from him makes all the difference in the world
