Next Up: @ Bills (Divisional Round)

Trying to run the clock out from the first minute of the 2nd half last week was just throwing possessions away. A better offense than Pittsburgh would have got back into the game. They better not try anything like that this week.

I think a different team then we have a different gamelan. There was no reason to deviate. The coaches just needed to milk clock on a 2 td lead. You gotta realize I think they're saving concepts and wrinkles for the run. If gsme is tighter we probably see more. Also the fact we're missing a wr. Steelers aren't coming back unless there are TOs.

If I had to guess, he likely calls false starts with special attention. #79 Ronnie Stanley needs to get his shit together this game, alongside Mekari
79 always has his shit together this year. It's the refs that suck. lol Ronnie is The Man.

I hope so. I was thinking it was just a show of disrespect for Pittsburgh's offense but you never know with Harbaugh.

He loves nothing more than running the clock out and can be a bit too willing to trade a possession for a few minutes off the clock. Every team can shut down the run when they're 100% certain about what's coming. (3 RB carries with 1-3 secs on the playclock and a punt)

I'm not worried about tighter games, but if we build a nice lead, I hope he won't be tempted.

Damn looking at their previous wins at home, they have scored 30+ in 8/9 games and average 34 PPG. Granted those wins are against Broncos, Cardinals, Jaguars, Titans, Dolphins, Chiefs, 49ers, Pats, and Jets... This is going to be a tough outing for Brandon Stephens. Ravens cannot start out this game slow and the offense will have to put up points on the board every drive.

What do you mean? Stanley has been guilty of a quite a few false starts.

True, a few more than usual. He has had to run through a gauntlet of top notch D line. Refs do seem to give him extra attention, and as well as he's played I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.

Game time “feels like temp” currently 8 degrees at kickoff. Lord help our Florida boys

Also home teams have a 73% win rate when he is the referee. Ravens have to play a clean game and can't revert to pre-bye week Ravens
I imagine the 73% win rate is all time?

Either way, I looked at his games from this year and only one (TB vs Philly) didn't go the way I'd have bet if asked to. I wouldn't read too much into win rates because the teams that were expected to win this year did indeed win with the exception of TB.

Yeah nothing looked too crazy... Except all the penalties we got against Chargers

We seem to have the Bills number. We lost in 2022, but that game began with a similar start. We were up 20-3 early and offense went MIA 2nd half. Something on defense they seem to understand about limiting Josh. I want to say this group doesn't give up that long td like the previous game, but we saw what happened last week. People having this pegged as game of the year might be in for a surprise if we don't turn the ball over and limit penalties. I've been wrong before, though.

Buffalo attacks the spine of the defense and that's exactly where we are strongest.
