Next Up: @ Bills (Divisional Round)

I stopped being cocky after the Jags worked us over on a MNF game (I believe) years ago. I talked so much shit before that game. Never again lol
Who shit talks leading up to a regular season jaguars game lmao
Me also. It was 2011. We were awesome, they were dog shit. Road game in Jacksonville. Spent half the day Monday bouncing around bars in Jacksonville and "nicely" making sure it was understand how badly we were going to beat them.
Backfired.

Sad thing is that we were in year 4 of Flacco, which means I knew well enough that a Flacco-led team could simply just shit the bed at any week at any time.

Going into games cocky has burned me. Not arrogant now but feel very comfortable about this matchup. And as I've said I'm used to the pain. The only loss that would have hurt more than last year would have been losing to the Steelers.

Narrative won't matter when we have 6 OL and Ricard running against a damn nickel front. Everything they're trying to say will hurt us should technically working our favor as the game goes on. No TO and no penalties then I see no problems.

Like others, I feel more confident about this game than the Steelers game last week but not overly confident. I think we should be able to run on this team but I see them bringing in some tactic to offset their size. Potentially slanting the DL towards the side Ricard is on and gap exchanging with the LB while they shoot their gaps. They are going to have to use their speed on D to offset their size disadvantage.
For the read option, they are likely going to use the surf technique which has the possibility of being successful.
However, if we can find the run game against them I don’t see a way they win. Barring turnovers of course.

This potential playoff run feels very SB47-esque, or at least how I feel about it.

Pittsburgh felt like Indy but with an inflated record this year - a team that we could easily walk in and beat as long as we didn't beat ourselves.

Denver and Buffalo parallel each other. Arguably the 2 most dangerous teams in their respective years. I approached Denver with a confidence shrouded in some nervousness.

Once we got through Denver, I had no doubts NE was going down. Hopefully the same rings true for KC here in a little over a week.
Denver had me shook, but felt if we made it past them start the ring sizing.

This was me. Was going to even make the trip to Jax and said why waste the effort for overpriced tickets against a weak Jags squad. Besides that game being a hilariously awful MNF game, I would have been pissed on the 4 hour drive back.

There is so much randomness that decide the games between great teams. A receiver falls down causing a pick-six can completely alter games like this, so I don't have a feeling either way.
Will just sit down and hope for an enjoyable 3 hours, and if that's the end of the season, I'm still happy since it has been fun watching this year. Everything from here on out is just bonus time

I feel like relatively tho Buffalo is nowhere close to that Broncos team

Exact same. I almost went. Was SO RELEIVED I didn't.

That’s exactly how I feel about the Tyler Huntley playoff game, I was so close to being there but ultimately figured Huntley would blow a winnable game and Bengal fans would act like they just beat Lamar, and that’s literally exactly what happened.

Nah.

I need that Super Bowl win for Lamar.

The Bills lead the league in turnover ratio. That’s not good on a frozen tundra. Well let’s just hope Henry keeps rolling .

i have a feeling Zay is gonna play

My spidey senses telling me it’s a no go and that the ravens put out that video of him working out only to mess with the Bills coaching staff and hope they waste time game planning for him

He’s listed as doubtful. He ain’t playing.
Well you would know better than me lol.. hopefully he’s back for the AFCCG if we advance

yep, agree he isn't playing.

The Bills are susceptible against the run and an especially power football (22 and 23 personnel) They tend to play base nickel and don't really match up. They can also be beaten horizontally with Jet Sweet and Jet Dive as the Rams and I believe the Chiefs also took advantage of them in these situations. Bills didn't face much zone read all season long and may not be that prepared for it either.

Defensively we need to play like we have been playing since week 11 and Stephens needs to man up.
