The Running Game, the Turnovers, and the Same Ol’ Ravens

Improving the trenches should be priority number 1. They rebounded well in the 2nd half but both sides of the ball getting absolutely dominated in the 1st half was a huge issue.

As well as this defence played, we don’t create that many opportunities for turnovers.

INTs are luck based.

Need to find some pass rushers. Someone who can defensively take over a game.

I humbly ask someone to explain it to me. It is the following phenomenon. An inescapable cacophony of BS that shows up in every big game. Across years. Across coordinators. Across players.

Andrews hasn't fumbled since 2019 they said. Well he did today. He also drops the 2 point conversion.

Tyler decides today to forget how to snap.

Lamar throws an INT in Batemans direction again because of being off the same page.

No pass rush.

OL getting BULLIED especially 1st half.

No matter who's out there or who is coaching, our guys find a way to shrink.

The answer isn't just you're playing good teams. Nearly all our issues were unforced. Imo it's mental

I got nothing.

Of course we'd have been better targeting the guy playing well rather than the guy having a bad game but it's still Andrews.

He's been really good for us for years. The bad playoff thing is just coincidence I think.
But it's now a pattern of him playing poorly in the playoffs going all the way back to 2019. He is suppose to be a top 5 TE but top 5 TEs don't struggle with drops the way he does

This game is exactly why I stopped giving AF about regular season awards or accolades.

While the INT was moot since they didn't score off it, the fumble was inexcusable from Lamar. Ball security, ball security, ball security ESPECIALLY in these conditions. Which leads me to Andrews. He's another one I no longer give AF about what he does in the regular season. Show me what you can do in the postseason.

Defensively, they played better in the 2nd half but losing in the trenches is why we weren't gonna get a turnover. Refs can suck my dick with that bullshit DPI on White.

I knew we were jinxed when I saw: 1) winning the SB in 2000 and 2012 and the pattern in both of those SB runs and 2) we became the winningest franchise in the league, percentage wise.

Also, can we PLEASE get rid of that fucking rollout to the right play call? That shit almost never works out for us.

Not too upset. The team fought hard and almost overcame 0-3 turnover differential away from home in difficult conditions. Some bad plays for sure, including how Monken calls 2pt attempts, but shit happens.
Almost all games this season were fun to watch, and that is my priority. Not going to stay up late to watch other teams so end of season for me, doesn't matter who wins the SB

Now back to your scheduled meltdowns

3 turnovers, 1 crucial drop.

I know this loss is more on the players than coaching… but it’s time move on from Harbaugh.

No matter how we slice it, Harbaugh had 7 years with Lamar, with 2 seasons being the best in the NFL and #1 seed. We got nothing to show for it.

insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

I need to tell myself to not be so vested into this shit if everyone returns and we just run it back AGAIN

lol bro Lamar was so bad. Typical hero ball cost us

I don’t know how you can put this on Lamar when he put the ball where it needed to be to tie it.

He also put the ball where it needed to be on that drive that Andrews fumbled in where it looked like we would go up.

He played shitty in the first, sure but be for real. What did your eyes tell you all second half?

There was a lot of time left when Likely scored the TD. Bills still had two timeouts.

I'm annoyed at Andrews, but are we feeling any different if the Bills when 30-27 on a walk off? I doubt it.

It's just disappointing that the D never got a chance to force OT

l
Monken? The guy that coordinated the one of the best offenses this century? You want him gone?
nah I’m cool with Monken but I’ll also be totally cool if he leaves. So much of this offense is just Lamar making shit work on the fly. Problem is that doesn’t work in the playoffs vs quality teams

That's the thing. There's 7 years of data. That's not small. That's half of Lamar's career! And obviously, presumably the better half of it.

There's clearly something wrong because we can't get over the top. Maybe it's luck. Maybe it's Harbs. Maybe it's EDC.

I won't pretend to know, but what I can say confidently is you have more than enough sample size to be sure something ain't right
