The Running Game, the Turnovers, and the Same Ol’ Ravens

I'm not usually one to complain in that way. I really enjoy when people disagree. It makes for good discussion and allows you to see new perspectives. But that guy in particular is and has been an obvious troll who only comes around to harrass us when we lose. Often times exposing that they didn't even really watch or understand what happened. I hate censorship, but shit like that leads to people saying things they don't mean or regret.

Thank you!

Could not agree more. You've nailed it. And if we're doing our jobs right, the number of people outright banned whom aren't spam adverts are going to be in the low single digit percentages. I'm all for differing opinions, even if they're kooky, just as long as the person genuinely believes in them. But getting a rise out of trying to get a rise, that'll get you the door. We've got a pretty stellar community, I feel. Self-curated to include some of the best sports related discourse out there. Appreciate you helping keep it that way!

I don’t think Bible thumping has ever helped on a NFL field. This is not remember the titans.
Depends on what you mean by bible thumping cause Ray Lewis definitely was religious at times with his speeches with the players. Probably could take notice of that even during his last year with the team and throughout the playoffs. I

The thing that bothers me the second most with this game is now I have to hear about how Lamar is a playoff choker and we'll have to hear about how Josh Allen is such an amazing playoff quarterback.

Under MM/Roman, Lamar had four total touchdowns against 10 turnovers. Funny enough, Lamar had two and two under MM.

That really set the stage for Lamar to be labeled a choker.

Under Monken, Lamar has nine total touchdowns against four turnovers. He's had almost 300 total yards per game and has a passer rating of ~106. He's drastically improved and is starting to look more like regular season Lamar.

Even this game, the two turnovers can't be overlooked, but Lamar was actually quite excellent outside of those.

And I know I keep going back to this, but fucking Mark Andrews, man.

If Andrews catches the pass prior to the fumble, I don't think a turnover happens. Instead, the Bills get the fumble recovery and score a touchdown.

In the second half, the Bills couldn't stop anything from the Ravens. The Ravens offense had two touchdowns and a field goal in four drives.

I think it's safe to assume that Lamar and the Ravens probably could muster a field goal on the drive Andrews fumbled. Instead, the Bills get a field goal.

And then, of course, the dropped two point conversion.

You could make an argument that Andrews mistakes caused an 18 point swing (no drop and the Ravens are primed for a FG (-10), no fumble and the Ravens are primed for a FG (-6), and then dropped 2-PT (-2)).

Literally any of those plays are executed by Andrews and we're talking about the grit of Lamar to overcome an early interception and lead an 11 point comeback. But because Andrews pulled his playoff disappearing act, Lamar is going to draw ire all offseason.

It's such bullshit, man.

Lamar’s fumble sucked but it was a play that never should have happened anyway. But he needed to be better with the ball there

It sucks man. You’re so right, I’ve seen Mahomes play like shit and win so many playoff games because his defense or Kecle make a crazy play. We didn’t even need Andrew’s to do anything besides basic shit simple plays

I’m actually sad to see Ravens fans saying it, it was a total team effort in the first half, Lamar played great the second half. It’s unreal how bad Andrews was

I don’t think getting rid of him is necessarily the answer

Just wondering if that aspect of his coaching is actually helping the team - feels more self-serving tbh

I definitely don’t remember him getting them all to do the Lord’s Prayer every game a few years ago

I just wonder if it marginally makes players feel more passive about their play - and if that margin is the difference in key moments

Just a thought
Naw Rossi! The Lord's Prayer doesn't make players passive.

id much rather hear some gangsta shit before going out there to play than a prayer. Maybe say a prayer first then let one of the players speak on how the other team could potentially be the reason why i cant feed my family with nfl checks anymore lol

Nothing more gangsta than a killer praying

I found out I have cancer last Wednesday, I am taking this loss a lot worse. Was hoping for something to lift my spirits, I aint mad just wasn't to be. Through all the mistakes we made we kept coming back but the last drop we never got a chance to atone for, the meltdowns after one mistake are what got me heated. Picking one target to lay blame is pretty unfair for Mandrews just because the time it happened. Pretty of blame to share around with this one.

Now I get to look forward to some [profanity deleted] sticking a camera up my clacker tomorrow.
Shit man, real sorry to hear. Wish you the best, beat that fucker.

I already see it happening on Twitter and RSR. I don’t think this game cemented Lamar as a “choker”. It’s bullshit actually, he overcame early slop and horrible game momentum the first half and led the team back, if Andrews didn’t fumble or drop that pass we win
Do they still hate Lamar on RSR? Racism really messes up people's brains.

Well if there’s one silver lining in this dark cloud, we don’t have to go to KC this week and lose to #15 again. Tired of that shit.
