The Running Game, the Turnovers, and the Same Ol’ Ravens

So the Raiders loss and Browns loss were the difference this year. This game is in Baltimore and our fans carry the team through to a win

Doubt it, I think they were called at a good time. Gave you time to score. If we didn’t call them there would’ve been even less time and maybe an even more tired defense. Not sure what was going on the field but could be some rest too as well as good timing
 
not for anything Lamar literally out there on the road without his top 2 WRs and he leads a game tying drive. I think the Lamar playoff narrative is dead but the Baltimore Raven playoff narrative is certainly not.
 
The fumble is really going to piss me off all off season because “Lamar had 2 TO” haters. Ultimately he did drop the ball but god damn it, terrible snap. The self destruction is assinine

It is always the same until it isn't. But I do think in the past that second half would have been a blowout. We were down to the Titans and Chiefs by less and were much worse in the second half in both games. We just weren't mentally tough in 2019 or 2023 to be honest. Ravens got punched in the mouth and folded both games

i guess the question is whether it's a philosophical problem? is the defence too conservative and safe and not built around high variance plays and opportunism?

the other question is... how do you get good QBs to give you the ball... and i think the answer is creating pressure with 4 rushers

Yeah gotta get pressure on guys to get mistakes. I think we have a lot of solid guys on the D-line but no game breakers that can turn a game. Hard to get it done against great O-lines without those guys. Bills got more pressure on us and we didn't get as much pressure on them.

I honestly did not know that it was 4 straight without one. That is a wild statline and it essentially requires that you play mistake-free football yourself. That's not to downplay the offensive turnovers. Losing three possessions in one postseason game is its own death sentence. And full credit to the defense for clamping down in the second half. Just would've been such a good time to buck the trend.

I also fully agree with your solution. This escaped me as well, but Odafe Oweh has been relegated to a backup role for the last 9 games, averaging just 28 snaps. While he's been solid this year, we've lacked a difference-making edge rusher that either forces turnovers or creates enough panic to walk the offense into giveaways. Spilled milk at this point, but once Jared Verse got into the teens, I was praying we'd move assets for him. This upcoming draft class is loaded in that department and I hope we come away with one of the better ones within the first 3 picks.

Nothing would hype me up but i know what gets others going and hyped up. I dnt really know when team prays so my bad on that.. i never really cared about ray lewis speeches but now that rossi mentioned the harbaugh thing, it really does make a lot of sense. Im kind of fucked up in the head so the fact that it cant be proven, makes it even more of a make sense situation lmao..
 
It's going to hurt watching Monken leave for an HC job and potentially lose some more staff.

Crazy that the Ravens have the most wins in a 7 game period without a Superbowl appearance.

Anybody saying that Tomlin should be fired, the same should be for Harbaugh. Only difference is Harbaugh makes it on game further into the division round with a way more talented roster.
 
Get rid of marcus, stephens for sure..extend stanley and marlo. im call lamar and tell him to restructure his contract so we can go grab crosby and watt lol.. i hate to say it but we need some “ dirty” players. Fuck all that conservative shit, we need to get our identity back on defense. We too soft. We need some confident/ “ cocky” or “ arrogant” players on defense that talk shit and not scared of the social media memes of backlash.. thats what we missing.. we missing that marcus peters, ed reed, sizzle personality.

Bruh did you see freaking Mack Hollins on Offense for the Bills? That dude was borderline unsportsmanlike conduct lol. If you don't know what I mean, just go back and watch the final Bills drive. It was like he did some roids or some bath salts or some shit a few minutes ago. Was wild. He looked like he was out there playing defense on offense for the Bills.

Think we aren't losing Monkens this year. Raiders seem likely to hire Ben Johnson, Jets seem to be in on Aaron Glenn. Bears might be the only ones we have to worry about but think they end up with Flores.
