2025 Offseason Thread

In other news… this is pretty wild. Cam Ward gotta be the most quietness first overall QB in recent memory. Zero media coverage on the dude. Zero hype

All teams have a Thursday Night game, so he will have a primetime game when they play on Thursday.

Need to see if it translates when the lights come on, but I was told Dayton Wade was the standout at rookie camp and they really like the work he's put in to get better. Feels like he probably needs to also make an impact in the return game to enter the conversation fully but it sounds like there's a chance there.

Really hope we sign Simmons. I was really looking forward to Kyle being closer to the LoS this season. Obviously he’s amazing deep but I want that Swiss Army knife role for him again

Another Tim White?

This isn't true.
my mistake then. Thought all teams had one.

This used to be true though and I didn't realize it changed....

For the four seasons from 2012 to 2016, and again in 2020 and 2021 all 32 teams played a Thursday game following a Sunday game that guarantees each team a nationally televised game with 26 of them playing on Thursday Night Football and the other six playing on Thanksgiving.

I'd prefer Diggs. Simmons has dropped off a lot over the last few seasons.

same shit last year just the other way around lol

feels like the league is missing out on some major end of year battles by front-loading the schedule with these 3 when you can have some awesome battles for the AFC in November/December

not a fan of the schedule but who cares i guess...

all i know is that, as per last year, lots of night games that i won't be able to watch lol

should also be noted that it shouldnt be a surprise that a year 2 prospect who had a full camp last year out-performed a bunch of rookies

as you say though, return game is how he'll make the roster if he does

Somebody please explain to me how the Falcons got 5 prime time games?! I mean they seriously couldn't do 2-3 for ATl and let more interesting teams like Titans and Browns have 1?

This is the most front loaded schedule I've ever seen, not just the Ravens, around the league huge games coming out the gate. It's kinda always been like that, get the good teams knocking heads while the bad teams stack some wins early to keep more teams in the playoff stretch. The middle of the season is usually filled with lesser slates and byes since there are no major sports competing and then you finish up with the big divisional games at the end. That's been the formula but I don't think I've ever seen it this pronounced.

Hate to bug you but anything on Tampa and Keaton?

I think this to protect against what happened last year where there were so many bad matchups. You can flex games if necessary if bad teams start to exceed expectations.

So a) the Falcons are likely to be significantly more competitive than those teams and b) I don't find really anything about the Browns or Titans "interesting" this year.

Not really. They believe in both but they aren't on the fields right now. It's just rookies and other camp body/back end types.

I think we do know at this point that Keaton was never 100% last year so they're hoping his low usage and the offseason gets him back to rookie him.

the danger of that with the 17 game schedule is that those division games don't matter and there's very little on the line at the end of the year and those final 2 weeks of the season basically become almost meaningless...

Yeah but teams that are out of it get up for division games. Even if its just to take out a key player like the Browns did to us.
