No cap, so many holes, and EDC sounding like the same old EDC. He'll put together a good roster. Harbs will coach a good team. Lamar will field a good team. And then someone else will be better.Besides still having Harbaugh, why do you think that?
Nah, we will. Gonna be another 1 seed tooYeah I'm gonna hazard a guess that we ain't winning the SB next year either
Counterpoint. We had the #1 offense, very balanced (despite casual division rival fans not understanding that), Henry had over 2000 yards, our defense got much better as the year went on, we should have much better continuity with coaches. Hopefully we can improve in a few spots and not drop games to the horrible Steelers , Browns and Raiders, get one of the top 2 seedsNo cap, so many holes, and EDC sounding like the same old EDC. He'll put together a good roster. Harbs will coach a good team. Lamar will field a good team. And then someone else will be better.
The thing I don't get is the Rams went all in and were supposed to have some multi-year fall off but where was that? They got a SB and made it just as far as we did this year.
Maybe I'm just cynical but I feel like from GM down to coordinators, we are so textbook ans conservative about everything. It's led to team after team where Lamar must be able to overcome the opponent and his own team hurting him.
To win a SB you gotta have a few high impact players. We have 1 and very brief flashes from Henry.
I could not disagree more here. Lamar, Henry, Andrews (despite the bad game), Hamilton, and Humphrey are all high impact players. And then we have guys like Zay and Wiggins who aren't quite there yet but are building towards it. This is a damn good roster and one of the best in the league. Shit I'd say Philly (minus the QB - only thing holding them back from annihilating this league) and SF (when healthy) are the only 2 that rival us.No cap, so many holes, and EDC sounding like the same old EDC. Crazy right and we got roquan too along with adarius who is also very good.. its like we are wasting talent..we need some discipline and situational awareness or something..I could not disagree more here. So a) the Rams had a fall off the next year and b) they've literally hit on like 80% of their draft picks the last two years. Their roster is loaded top to bottom with high-end, young, cheap contributors. No cap, so many holes, and EDC sounding like the same old EDC. He'll put together a good roster. Harbs will coach a good team. Lamar will field a good team. And then someone else will be better.

In 2024 I would not call Andrews, Hamilton, or Humphrey impact players.I could not disagree more here. Nailed it, and couldn’t agree more. Situational awareness, especially in the postseason has been and is the missing link. Just when you think it’s there, blammo, it’s gone.Crazy right and we got roquan too along with adarius who is also very good.. its like we are wasting talent..we need some discipline and situational awareness or something..
OK there you go. I'm sure every Rams fan is happy. Also goes to show, if you do your job well as a GM, you'll have a good team.So a) the Rams had a fall off the next year and b) they've literally hit on like 80% of their draft picks the last two years. I don't see a lot of high-end, impact players on Washington or Buffalo.
Still could not disagree more.In 2024 I would not call Andrews, Hamilton, or Humphrey impact players.
Hamilton last year and Marlon and Andrews from years ago were impact players. Henry is imo overwhelmingly the closest thing we've ever had to an impact them player other than Lamar.
I'm not saying we don't have a good roster. Its precisely that we have a good roster and not one with a small handful of best in the league guys which is why we'll make the second round of playoffs and get bounced.
I think you'd find it hard to argue that this teams juice came exclusively from Lamar and Henry. There were small flashes from guys like Likely, Flowers, and Bateman. On defense Marlon had a few INTs this year and Ardarius made about 4 big plays. Other than that, the defense was unbelievably devoid of impact guys.
We played to what we were. A good team that loses because it's turnover prone under pressure and incapable of getting TOs.
You called me dramatic last year too. I don't take it as an insult whatsoever. I would say I'm not dramatic at all, but that my view of the world is just harsher than yours. You see things in a very nuanced and squishy fashion. That's why I really like reading what you have to say.Still could not disagree more.
Andrews started slow and then was arguably the best TE in the league as he got going again.
Marlon was exceptional all season.
Hamilton is still a premium player but was forced into a role that didn't maximize him - doesn't make him not an impact player.
I think you're being dramatic after a tough loss. No one is questioning the large majority of the talent on this roster. We beat ourselves. We didn't get beat.
I'm all for being mad we beat ourselves again, but I don't see any possible way you can look at this roster and say we don't have impact players. We're full of them. We may just be missing 1 or 2 in a key area.
This is going to sound really harsh but I'll go for it anyways...You called me dramatic last year too. I don't take it as an insult whatsoever. I see things in a very cut and dry, absolute kind of way. Just a difference in opinion.![]()
Well @Simba , EDC must've heard you loud and clear. Without question, we need one just for depth alone.
This is going to sound really harsh but I'll go for it anyways...
I have no problems with pessimism. This is far from a perfect team, but it's still a really good one. Saying we don't have impact players just feels so far removed from reality though. I think you'd be hard pressed to find many people that agree with that view.
For me, its actually simpler. Buffalo wasn't better than us. I think it'd be impossible to argue that.No cap, so many holes, and EDC sounding like the same old EDC. He'll put together a good roster. Harbs will coach a good team. Lamar will field a good team. And then someone else will be better.
