2025 Offseason Thread

Now that the news is out there, I feel like I can say what my guy told me.

As the article indicates, all of these alleged situations occurred many years ago. It sounds like the Ravens have known for many years, but cannot confirm nor deny that. They got word early in the season that he was being investigated (hopefully the timing of his struggles make a lot more sense now) and used the PR weight to hold the story until after the season. The fun news is that his wife found out around the same time, and I'm sure you can put the pieces together there.

Privately, I've shared with a couple of you that Tucker and his wife do or did not live a traditional lifestyle. They've been spotted at notable swinger hangouts and it's apparently not exactly a hidden thing either. The cheating thing may or may not be related - I simply heard he was caught fucking around, but I don't know if that was in relation to the allegations (which shocker, would likely not be part of their arrangement) or something deeper with the swinger stuff.

Late in the season, they did apparently reconcile, so I would assume it had to do with the allegations, but this is me imparting my own thoughts based on what I know for full transparency.

ill be honest, if the ravens knew since 2016, i'd feel pretty gross about it
especially given ray rice was only 3 years earlier

Yeah there's no evidence we have a zero tolerance policy. First, I'm pretty sure that "theoretically" was around domestic violence, which this isn't that. Second, we've had several people be publicly accused of domestic violence since Ray Rice (Suggs and Flowers come to mind) and nothing happened.

Nothing that I know of. There's always dirty laundry but most of it doesn't see the light of day.

Investigations are for this purpose. Are there any lawsuits at this point?

I think he'll be cut because he's a kicker who wasn't very good last year and now he has PR baggage. If this were Lamar, there's literally no discussion of terminating his contract.

The video going public is exactly why I now think there isn’t any tolerance for such behavior, even if there isn’t video proof. I really think Tucker’s gone

That whole situation was stupid from the beginning though. She told the 911 dispatcher she was OK and hung up.

But if there was truly zero tolerance as they say, he'd be gone. I'm not saying Tucker will stay obviously, but I'd be surprised if they don't give him the benefit of the doubt first.

The only thing that might change that is the Deshaun Watson uproar and this being similar, especially when our own HC condemned it.
 
benjamin allbright saying it might be 2 dozen women when it's all said and done...

with how critical harbs was of deshaun watson, how can it be anything other than hypocrisy to not only keep him but to have kept him this long already...

if harbs made those comments about deshaun while knowing what tucker had done that's outrageous hypocrisy
