2025 Offseason Thread

So Tucker stuff aside.... is it feasible to Tag Stanley or would we have to give him something long term? I feel like our offseason truly begins with whether he re-signs or leaves.

Can't imagine that's an option. I wouldn't say its impossible, but the tag number is going to be ~$25M for Olineman. He's not a $25M AAV player, let alone a $25M on a one year cap hit player. Honestly if we did franchise tag him, I'd be super content to play out a one year deal if I were him, which would hamstring us significantly. Wouldn't be able to tell barely anything in FA after that.

I would be shocked if that's on the table for the Ravens.

I would imagine that prior to FA starting (in about a month), they'll need to do a couple things:
1. Figure out what they're doing with Andrews. All options on the table, but I don't think him staying at his current cap # is an option for now.
2. Target some kind of extension with Marlon. Maybe even for just 1-2 years. Another high cap hit they'll 100% look to reduce, and a restructure doesn't do a lot of good with only two years left on the deal (unless they add more void years).
3. It's not entirely critical yet, but I imagine they'll start feeling extension conversations with Lamar. It 100% has to happen in the next 12-13 months.

I think the first two are critical to get done before FA hits. Then it becomes pretty much all about Stanley. I think we'll have a very good idea of what's going to happen with him by March 12th.

This is also one of the few years where I'd say there's no obvious like "cut candidates" to create cap space.
Andrews is the only one that sticks out, with a potential $11M in savings. Williams and Tucker probably land as post-June 1 guys.

Other than that, the only other guys I'd see that "make some sense" would be:
Broderick Washington ($900K in savings) - unlikely
Ojabo - $1.8M in savings (I think this is happens at some point)
Maulet - $2.25M in savings

But there's just no "real" $ here. Everything we do from a cap space creation standpoint will largely tailor around a decision with Andrews + restructures/extensions of existing contracts.

he's earned over 4.5m, he can afford to call a cab
Its really a never-ending stream of me saying WTF because of this exact reason. Shit, even if you earn $30K a year, take a fuggin cab. A DUI can easily cost you $10K here in Florida when its all said and done. Not even addressing the fact you could murder someone.

This Ben Cleveland news is the actual least surprising ravens news of the last few months. This is definitely less surprising than us choking away a playoff game against an inferior opponent.

I want Micah Parsons on this team. Send them Andrews and Keaton .They need a back and Keaton is not gonna get many touches with us.

You know, after a not too bad season - I mean, we were pretty close and didn't just lay down like we've seen in the past; but the one thing I hate after a season like that is negative fucking press, man. Shit sakes!

As a fan of Baltimore sports there are just too many occasions when it just seems like we can't get out of our own fucking way.

I want positive signings. No D-bags! I also want the finest draft in the history of drafts to get thru what I hope is a rinse cycle this offseason in getting clear of shitheads that don't make good decisions.

Back to your regular programming... ;)

We got 11 picks, and a draft that looks CRAZY on day 2.

Low key, I hope no slam dunk obvious choice players for us fall to 27, but a slam dunk obvious choice for someone else who trades us a third to move up, and other trades as well

4 or 5 picks on day 2 would likely pay off better than 3 picks on days 1+2
