2025 Offseason Thread

@rossihunter2 Agreed 100% all around. I feel like this is one of the more fun offseasons from a storyline perspective

tbh i think it's probably more boring

there's not many jobs available and lots of the battles are gonna be for low positions on the depth chart

potentially our only camp battles will be:
LG (maybe???)
WLB (maybe???)
CB3
WR5
EDGE5

last year was a transition year but we had 3 starting jobs on the line just on the OL last year

certainly will be interested to see who emerges and how things shake out, but not a lot of storylines i dont think

QB (2)
Lamar Jackson
Cooper Rush

RB (3/4)
Derrick Henry
Justice Hill
Keaton Mitchell
Rasheen Ali (Bubble)

FB (1)
Patrick Ricard

TE (3)
Mark Andrews
Isaiah Likely
Charlie Kolar

OL (10)
Ronnie Stanley
Carson Vinson
Andrew Vorhees
Ben Cleveland
Tyler Linderbaum
Nick Samac
Daniel Faalele
Garrett Dellinger (or FA)
Roger Rosengarten
Emory Jones

WR (5/6)
Zay Flowers
Rashod Bateman
DeAndre Hopkins
Tylan Wallace (Bubble)
Tez Walker
LaJohntay Wester

My guess is Rasheen or Tylan wouldn't make it if you wanted to keep the rest.

Question marks at OG but that's a damn good offense. Another year removed from injury for Mark and Keaton too.

DL (4/5/6)
Travis Jones
Backup NT
Nnamdi Madabuike
Aeneas Pebbles
Broderick Washington
Another Vet

EDGE (5/6)
Kyle Van Noy
Odafe Oweh
Mike Green
Tavius Robinson
David Ojabo (Bubble)
Adisa Isaac (Bubble)

ILB (4)
Roquan Smith
Trenton Simpson
Teddye Buchanon
Vet

CB (6/7)
Marlon Humphrey
Nate Wiggins
Chidobe Awuzie
TJ Tampa (Bubble)
JAD (Bubble)
Bhilal Kone (Bubble)
Robert Longerbeam (Bubble)

S (4/5)
Kyle Hamilton
Malaki Starks
Ardarius Washington
Sanoussi Kane (Bubble)
Beautiful Brade (Bubble)

Defense has waayyyy more questions than offense. Gonna be very excited to follow this training camp.
I think a bunch of guys you have on the bubble are not actually on the bubble. Wallace, Isaac, Tampa, and Kane primarily.

My opinion on locks/near locks:
QB (2): Jackson, Rush
RB (4): Henry, Hill, Mitchell, Ricard (FB)
WR (5): Flowers, Bateman, Hopkins, Wallace, Walker
TE (3): Andrews, Likely, Kolar
OL (8): Stanley, Vorhees, Linderbaum, Faalele, Jones, Vinson, Samac
DL (4): Madubuike, Jones, Washington, Peebles
ED (5): Oweh, Van Noy, Green, Robinson, Isaac
LB (4): Smith, Simpson, Buchanan, Hummel
CB (4): Humphrey, Wiggins, Awuzie, Tampa
S (4): Hamilton, Starks, Washington, Kane
ST (3): Loop, Stout, Moore

That's 46 I feel are pretty safe pending health. It feels like a pretty clean roster outside of DL. I'd probably be looking to add a couple of insurance policies at a couple of positions as we get closer to camp (OL, CB, maybe ILB).

OL is seemingly a question of Cleveland vs. Dellinger if you aren't keeping 10.

We're probably adding 1-2 DL.

We probably have the CBs but it's a question of which 2 out of JAD, Kone, and Longerbeam.

That leaves you with 2-3 spots for the likes of guys like Ali, Ojabo, Brade, or maybe just keeping 10 OL.

I hear ya. To me last year was interesting because we were getting a lot of what's going to happen at BLANK position. We got a whole season of those guys in 2024 now. So this year the stories change a little. Does Faalele hold down RG the whole time. Do we roll with Hummel and Trenton is the de facto guy? Etc

And the good thing is that most of those decisions don’t need to be made now. Perfect opportunity to let the young guys fight it out. If they’re good, great. If they’re not, there are opportunities to improve still.

I would say Tampa is far more likely to be one of the top 3 corners than he is to be cut. I think they want him to win that job over Awuzie.

The FA DL list is pretty unimpressive

DeMarcus Walker is the best available but he doesn't carry the size. You have a few other guys in the same light (Cominsky, Bullard, Bryan, Hurst, etc.) who have been okay players but aren't NT types.

On the big body front, you have Foley Fatukasi, Raekwon Davis, Austin Johnson, John Jenkins, Linval Joseph, Johnathan Hankins, Kyle Peko, Armon Watts, and Jordan Phillips. Pretty much all of them have been dreadful against the run.

Yeah, that’s not a good list. At this point, hope someone gets cut, which is likely to happen during roster cuts or hope you find an UDFA.

Think they'll either add one now, or just continue to wait. Could be a standard August/September addition once roster cuts come through.

The lack of investment in the Dline I thought was a bit concerning from the draft, but given the picks they made, I understand it. I think we might have ended up with one on day 3 if we didn't have to draft Tucker's replacement.

Guess they could just re- sign Josh Tupou. Let him battle it out with the rookie NT and see who's the best of bunch.

Did you intentionally omit Wester or accidentally or am I just missing it? I think he’s a lock

We could trade a pick for a NT DL or wait for cuts outside the current crop of FA. I’m sure Ravens have an idea of who could be cut from those groups or who could be traded based on this draft.

Forgot to mention him in the lower section. Don't think he's a lock but think he's in a good spot. All it takes is for him to put the ball on the ground a couple of times and he's toast though.

So many DTs were drafted this year that someone OK might get cut somewhere.

Still wish we'd taken one rather than a 2nd CB who we might struggle to fit on the roster, though.
