2025 Offseason Thread

So many DTs were drafted this year that someone OK might get cut somewhere.

Still wish we'd taken one rather than a 2nd CB who we might struggle to fit on the roster, though.

Maddening isn't it? I guess we have to put it in perspective, the Ravens' SB run won't hinge on the failure to draft some 5th rd fatty. Also perspective, our rookie blitzer shouldn't be held to a higher sexual assault standard than the President of the United States of America.

Honestly the two UDFA DT they signed in Jayson Jones and Nash Hutmacher seem like two players that should have been drafted. Hutmacher seems like the most talented one though. Micheal Pierce was undrafted as well so it quite possible the team has their next future starting or back up NT already.

Absolutely no way Jones was ever getting drafted with those testing numbers. Don't even think Hutmacher should have been based on review after the fact. Would love for either to step up but one is missing the athletic profile and the other is missing an appropriate size for his skillset. I hope they prove me wrong but the odds are definitely stacked against them.

Dude they are FLAILING

They gain an absolute fuckload of picks trading back from 2, you think “damn they might turn around quick” and this is what we have a few days later

They are so bad

Yeah but Johnson is still pretty talented. He's only happy when he's gets his targets and maybe just maybe his experience last year has humbled him. If it works out then the browns basically have two receiver in Juedy and Johnson that can really run routes and get to open . I never thought a team wouldn't give Johnson a chance this year because he's too talented but this may be his last chance to restore his name.

Hopefully him signing with the browns helps with the ravens comp pick next year.

Not that he was signing a deal worth a comp pick anyways, but the deadline was 4pm yesterday. No one signed after then counts toward the formula. He agreed yesterday but did not formally sign, probably purposefully.

Oh wow I didn't know the deadline was yesterday. Dang that sucks

There's a reason they're known as the Clowns... No one ever should take that club with that owner too seriously. If there is a pile of shit within a mile of them they will step in it full foot load even trying to avoid it.

We could trade a pick for a NT DL or wait for cuts outside the current crop of FA. I’m sure Ravens have an idea of who could be cut from those groups or who could be traded based on this draft.

especially with how many DTs got drafted, im sure there's going to be some vets (or rookies) who dont make the cut in their spots

Yeah that’s why I’m not too worried. That position is one where you could actually fill it rather cheap compared to stuff like Edge and even OL.

Drafting a qb out of what feels like spite was dumb as hell. Wasted pick.
