Bengals really doing shemar stewart wrong
At first it seemed like a situation where Stewart was being petty, but the more that comes out, the more you realize how fucked up the Bengals are being. All Stewart is asking for is the same language/protections their 1st round pick last year and every 1st round pick that has signed so far this year have gotten. Props to him for standing up for himself.

Dont teams already have money set aside for draftees lol.. wtf are the bengals really trying to accomplish here

It's not money. That's slotted. The Bengals want to insert a clause that says they can void all future guarantees if something were to happen.
I honestly thought both parties were a bit at fault but that's so funny the bengals are being that dumb. Ruining / losing Myles Murphy Stewart Hubbard and Trey Hendrickson in a 2 year period is quite impressive

Not to be a downer given we've played zero snaps, but I have extremely little faith in Tyler Loop. Dude missed a 20 something yard FG in college and has missed a huge percentage of kicks in practice already.

Kicking is about consistency and your mental. We heard all last year about how Tucker wasn't missing in practice but in the games he was slipping up because obvious things were weighing on him.

You could argue maybe Loop is really nervous in practice and that's why he's missing. That doesn't bode well for games. Dude has a canon for a leg and no consistent accuracy from any range.

This is really not the kinda player I want on a Lamar Jackson team trying to win a SB.

I don't get the sense it’s the mental in this case. My understanding is they need to reshape some of the mechanics. I don’t think a handful of practices in early summer is going to get that done. It’ll be a project well into training camp and probably beyond honestly.

But I do get the sentiment. It’s unnerving having a K with accuracy problems considering the beacon of consistency we’ve had for 12 years. Obviously last year wasn’t great but I think there’d still be more trust there.

he had brand new long snapper and holder this season and his special teams coach, Danny Gonzalez, was interviewed. Of his 5 misses, supposedly only 1 of them was on him. Ball was literally on the ground and he still kicked it on one occasion.

Interview starts around :45

This is fully on the Bengals.

What type of shit is that to pull on the contract?

@RavensMania @Simba In all likelihood, will he be as bad as I'm making him out to be? Probably not. But Justin Tucker was a guy you trotted out to win you games. And from 60 plus. I just can't see us doing that a rookie Loop. And I can see him missing shit like a 40 yarder to win the game.

Lamar better know he's gotta punch in TDs

I get it, but I think you’re also hard pressed to find a better option out there. I’d personally have interest in Nick Folk as some veteran competition. The leg strength is pretty meh at this point but he’s accurate and would be a solid insurance policy. Otherwise, I don’t know that you’re going to improve over Loop significantly enough to where it’s not worth developing him. It might be rocky but I think you’re getting rocky with 99% of the other options too, so might as well go with the youth and the insane leg strength.

Break him in slow. Score TDs and let him gain confidence making 32 yarders. ;)
