2025 Offseason Thread

Did anyone else see what anquan said about haloti? Said that when he first got there he didnt know who haloti was and kept wondering why ravens always let him sit out most of the time. Played the jets first game he finally saw the reason and why ravens let him sit out so much lol. Said that if nobody doubled him, he was gonna fuck everything up

Haloti was a proper monster.

Crazier bit was about the broken face though.

Pretty sick Lil Yachty gave Zay a shoutout lol

Haloti played injured much of his last couple of years in Bmore. Dude was a warrior and a game wrecker when right.

Prime Ngata was one of the most disruptive players I've seen in the trenches. Some fans really took those defenses for granted. At his peak I think he can confidently say one of the best to ever do it.

Ngata is probably a sure-fire HOFer if he had been a little bit more dedicated to the game. I don't say this to shit talk him by any means, but I know they felt like some of the injuries were as a result of not taking care of his body as he should have. The fact that he was still as good as he was with poor weight management and lack of practice says a lot.

Here's a short article from 2011 that kinda speaks to that opinion.

And this doesn't really sound like a "slacker" to me. lol

dam maxwell hairston.. these sexual assaults are crazy

not a surprise and im amazed it took this long to come out
when isaiah bond's SA allegations came out I started researching prospect backgrounds (because of mike green and kyren lacy) to work out who to not worry about on my board (obviously we ended up taking mike green anyway)

and maxwell hairston came up, to the extent that we discussed the fact he wasnt facing the same scrutiny as mike green in the draft thread back in april...

These were my notes based on what i found at the time

Student reported being raped (and burgled) by Hairston at UK around 4 years ago when she was 19 and he was a "minor" - she went to hospital and filed a police report - university did not do anything about it
Has said on twitter 5+ others have also alleged similar encounters with Hairston

looks like this is the same allegation but someone has finally picked it up

and clearly the bills knew about it because brandon beane mentioned it in April:
The Bills had no comment and referred to statements made by general manager Brandon Beane in April during the draft. Beane said at the time the team had "fully investigated" a sexual assault allegation from 2021 involving Hairston, who he called "an impeccable kid."

seemed like a really credible allegation at the time and a reason to not have him on my board (or the ravens board... although i thought that would have mike green off our board too so what do i know...???)

Bills drafted him knowing this was a thing

this is where i'm at

people are gonna be like, why didn't she do anything 4 years ago and why is she only doing anything now that he's rich...

well she tried to do something 4 years ago and none of these allegations are a surprise...

Avoided him entirely based on your reporting of him, and that was legit months ago.

was less vague than the mike green reports (which are still unclear to the public as far as im aware)
was honestly so surprised it got way less insider based reporting than that mike green situation because the claims and police reports were out there since 2021...

A better way to explain it might be bad habits as opposed to laziness. He had so much natural strength and other intangibles that he kind of banked on that if that makes sense. He was already better than most players so there wasn't that "desire" to go out there and bust his ass to be the best.

I miss Haloti Ngata man.

Yeah, I'm going to have to disagree. In his time with the Ravens no one had a stronger work ethic, or desire to be the best. He was known to be a team leader and an example for the younger players to emulate.

Aye, watching this little breakdown of Trenton.. I can see why he got benched.
Feels like Kamalei Correa 2.0. Coaches trying to fit a square peg in a round hole.

I’m expecting a lot of dime this year lol
