2025 Offseason Thread

It's still early obviously, and we need to see if it transitions to the field when it counts, but apparently Ojabo is having a really good camp so far. May not mean much but he was quiet all last camp and had a quiet season to follow, so maybe a loud camp brings good omens for a loud season.

Possible lingering effects from the injury last year, why he had a bad camp?

Fresh off an Achilles followed by an ACL. It’s not hard to see why. It was also not hard to see why he might now turn into anything too. This is his first healthy and fresh offseason though.

Pass Rusher on his "prove it" year...

After Ravens tight end Isaiah Likely was carted off the field Tuesday, he, coach John Harbaugh and general manager Eric DeCosta gathered around to look at the X-ray.
Although they still needed to wait for the official diagnosis, it was clear pretty fast he’d broken a bone in his left foot.
“We knew, based on the X-ray what it was,” Harbaugh said Wednesday. “And that was tough. That was a tough few minutes for all of us.”
Likely, who is coming off a career-best season, is heading into a contract year. Many players, including his tight end teammates Mark Andrews and Charlie Kolar, say they focus on what they can control, which is their play.

Now, even that is taken out of Likely’s control. But he didn’t stay down for long, Harbaugh said.
“He got the MRI, got back, saw the plan, and he’s in great spirits,” Harbaugh said. “It’s kind of hard to keep him down long. He’s a high-spirited person.”

The injury happened on the final play of Tuesday’s training camp practice.
On the last rep of a one-on-one red-zone drill, Likely was facing safety Sanoussi Kane when he went down. He grabbed his left leg near his ankle and punched the ground in frustration. Athletic trainers tended to Likely as the team huddled on an adjacent field, and he was loaded onto a cart.
Likely later hobbled into the Ravens’ facility, putting little weight on his injured foot. In the press conference immediately after, Harbaugh already knew it would be several weeks before he could return. The official timeline is 6-8 weeks, although they hope to get him back on the earlier end.

Harbaugh said Tuesday that he’s at least glad it happened early, which gives Likely a chance to return with much of the season left, a sentiment he reiterated Wednesday.

Likely is also looking for silver linings. Harbaugh said he was very happy to find out they weren’t going to make him use crutches.
“He’s super resilient,” Kolar said. “Doesn’t mean it doesn’t stink. We’ll check on him, make sure — he’ll be good, but doesn’t mean we won’t check on him and send prayers.”
Likely was poised to take an even greater role on the offense after he posted career highs in catches (42), receiving yards (477) and touchdowns (six) in 2024 and was the leading receiver in the team’s divisional-round playoff loss to the Buffalo Bills.
The Ravens have good depth at the position, with Andrews, Kolar and fullback Patrick Ricard all returning.

Harbaugh said this will be a big opportunity for Kolar, who has played a small role in the receiving game the past two years, but has developed into a solid blocker.
“I thought I played some good football last year. It sucks I missed a little bit with the flipper [forearm],” Kolar said. “Obviously, as a competitor, I want to keep expanding on on my role, and keep playing better on the snaps I’m given and keep earning more. But it’s nice to have that ... earned confidence of having seen yourself do it.”
While Kolar stands to benefit from Likely’s absence, he’s counting down the days until Likely is back.

“He’s a great player, great teammate,” Kolar said. “Obviously, we’re grateful it’s not super long term… I know the general feel is hope to get him back early, which would be awesome.”

I feel like this is gonna catch on here at some point so posting preemptively to dampen some of the hype lol. I like Sam and he's got some good sources but he's significantly overreacting to this one based on what I've heard. Wester has come on the last couple of days, but I heard minicamp and the first few days of TC were drops galore for Wester.

I am mentally prepared to ignore training camp and preseason hype for Ravens rookie WRs

I don't feel confident in a lot of things, but I feel confident that 56 has absolutely no shot at this roster because I don't think I've ever seen an OL that small and lean.
