Given that they didn’t draft a qb in 2018 (as good as Saquon is) and kept Eli for 2018 too I think it’s quite clear they are stupid

In retrospect I think that was the right move for this season. The only QB in that draft I'd take over Barkley is probably Baker, and he went first.

from sheer positional value im taking 4 of those 5 qbs ahead of saquon albeit part of that is knowing that there's no clear qb options in the 2019 draft class (but tbf we did kinda know that would be the case last year too)

They honestly may have made the best possible pick. I thought it was stupid at first, but in hindsight Saquon is a dominant force, a complete game changer, someone you can build an offense around.

Meanwhile Darnold is meh. Allen is bad. Rosen looks bad (before everyone comes at me for saying that, I’m not one for excuses. He’s seemingly everyone’s love child here and idc if he’s on a shit team, he’s still playing bad. Still plenty of time to improve and I think he will anyway)

But as of right now, the Giants taking Saquon looks like a pretty good move. And I hate high draft picks on RBs.

Yeah, I don't think anyone can fault the Giants for taking Saquon. He's already looking like one of the best RBs in the league and has basically carried that Giants offense all season. Even though the value of taking a RB in the first round has drastically lowered in recent years, Saquon has all-time great potential.

He was surely a cool guy but just didn't bring it on the football field consistently. He was far too inconsistent to be great. I'll miss him once he is cut or traded though... an absolute anti-diva, the opposite of QBs like Rodgers or Roethlisberger.
