Next Up: vs Browns

We need to come out and make baker realize this is a mans league and show him a defense like he’s never seen before, we need to kick the shit out of him, keep up with the exotic blitz.

On the flip side, counter Gregg Williams, he’s gonna send the house at lamar, and they will pay dearly for it, they’re very young on defense and their DC/HC calls a very undisciplined thoughtless defense that is just “attack” and we can counter that with our misdirection and confusion. Freeze defenders, gash them all over the front, use screens to counter the blitz, and open the playbook up some, this is likely the best defense we’ll face the rest of the year but any Gregg Williams defense can be vulnerable in many spots. Make it fucking happen Marty, don’t fuck us.

Oh and weddle, please..... PLEASE..... play like a veteran should.

Gregg Williams is a very good DC, Your not giving him enough credit at all. Do I believe we will beat his blitzes, yes, but your wrong about him. I’ve watched his defenses live when he was the skins dc. What he was able to accomplish was amazing, for thr most part.

To address your first paragraph, this MUST happen on his first possession just like what we did with Rivers. Set the tone early.

I expect more of the same from M***y tbh. There's gonna be a time in the game where he tries to do something cute when something is clearly working and it's gonna completely fuck up my momentum. You watch.

I’m not so sure about that, but calling the plays or not, he has his hands in the game plan. Xs and Os is a bit overrated, it’s more about the execution anyways.

He absolutely is a good dc, hell hes a great one, but a blitz based defense is a blitz based defense and you live and die by that sword.

Rex Ryan is in the same mold, hardass old saltdog who wants to send the house and kick the shit out of everyone, and it works often, but there are plenty of times where it bites you in the ass, if lamar can diagnose the blitz pre snap then the browns defense will be in for a long day, because lamar Jackson is the last QB you want escaping a blitz.

lamar is in for a tough one because this is a very athletic defense.
 
I know these stats don't tell the entire story and I think their defense is better than what the stats show, but (per NFL.com):

Total Defense: 29th
Passing D: 28th
Rushing D: 24th
Scoring D: 20th

Hopefully we can take advantage of this without turning the ball over (looking at YOU Lamar).
