Predictions and Bold Predictions

If Tim williams is inactive I'll boycott the game.

Well, I'll boycott the commercials. Fair compromise.
It won't surprise me to see him inactive. I'll really be unhappy about it . Particularly if we are up in the fourth quarter against a team having to throw and I see Williams in sweats.

i think within 2 games peanut takes correas WILB job. Speaking of which, gerald hodges is still out there, hes only 26 and was coming off a pretty damn good season..

as much as za'darius smith played well enough in preseason he just doesn't have the upside of williams.

no question he doesn't have the upside. Hoping he is active and still sees plenty of time doing what TWill does best.

I'm feeling good about the defense - but I'm worried about the one thing that has consistently killed us vs. the Bengals and that the big play ability of A. J. Green. I don't want to see us stop them over and over and then they end up with a couple 80 yard TDs.

So - I'll make the bold prediction that we don't allow a TD over 30 yards and keep A.J. Green somewhat contained.

As for game outcome - if the D plays like that, as long as the offense doesn't make any big mistakes and doesn't get bounced out of FG range with stupid penalties or Flacco being unable to avoid taking sacks ... we win.

Hodges is really good in zone, but not man. I like him a lot as Will in a 3-4.

I hope you're wrong ... because the only way it happens is if Correa fails and I'd like to see him start bringing some value. It won't be because Peanut suddenly becomes a jaw dropping option.

Agree generally. Though I don't see us coming out as conservative in this matchup.
Think we'll see Bowser used to cover Eifert?
I think Jefferson is gonna basically be dedicated to manning up any time we face an elite TE, that's a rare advantage and I expect pees to use it very well. I think bowser is gonna be used to bring confusion, showing blitz but dropping, faking zone drops and bringing delayed blitzes, rb spy plays, intermediate drops, position changes.

Bowser is just a guy who you can't give one role, he's too much of a mismatch in so many aspects

I'd be shocked tbh. With Albert McClellan out I think that gives bowser and Timmy an easy in on game day. Suggs and Judon to start, bowser and Timmy to rotate, I don't see any other viable options for a strong edge rotation.

I'm gonna predict both kaufusi and wormley are inactive as far as the rush goes. That leaves us pierce, williams, urban, ricard, and Henry, id take kaufusi over ricard but I think he makes most game day rosters purely because he's a FB and will still get rotation up front.

Well, Jaylen Hill looks likely to miss this week so i'm guessing

Hill
Wormley
Bradley ( special teams darling)
Kaufusi
OL reserve ( who knows)
Mayle ( although he's a special teams darling)
T.Williams :( (should be that useless chris moore but....special teams)

have to be honest, I don't see how it won't be T. Williams, not that i agree at all with him being here but who else? T.Will isn't a special teams ace too which would have guaranteed his spot on the active gameday roster.

tell you what, special teams better win us 5 games this year and cost us none.

If he doesn't make it because of special teams I will shit a brick. We're facing fucking aj green the raven killer, we need a heavy pass rush rotation and fresh legs

We can't underestimate the importance of good special teams units. I understand we need the pass rush rotation for fresh legs, but we won a couple games last year because of our special teams units. That being said, I don't see him being left off the active roster.

I agree with this. The Ravens are fine with Bowser, Suggs, Judon, and Z. Smith. If Timmy was active he likely wouldn't touch the field.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but most of the games that AJ Green torches us, Jimmy Smith was eiher injured, or still recovering from turf toe (the first 8 games if 2015). In the first 8 games AJ torched us toward the end of the game. @Truth

Well, if Moore is active over Williams just because of his special teams role, why wouldn't Bradley and Mayle be active over someone else for that same reason?

Bullshit. There is zero reason for Z smith to see a single pass rush snap over Tim Williams. He is simply not as good of an edge rusher and it isn't up for debate. Now if you wanna argue ZDS as a ST ace over Tim that's fine, but if Tim is on the active roster he's seeing the field as a rusher. He's too damn good at getting to the qb to be a scratch or to be benched in favor of a journeyman who can't even turn his shoulders to pass rush. In the 4th when we need good fresh legged rushers, ZDS will generate jack shit in the pass rush while Tim Williams will bring the heat, and that's why we aren't fine with your list of players
