Brian Mcfarland (on how the low value of their likely qualifying contracts affects comp picks):

They wouldn't be getting Comp picks for Urban or Williams, so being amongst the top 32 isn't the issue for them. As long as they qualify ( and they must stay healthy), they just cancel out the lower signees. ZSmith, Brown and Suggs will most certainly be amongst the top 32.

Because they are (Urban) and hopefully are (Maxx) qualifying UFAs, but at the lowest level, both will need to stay healthy and not lose playing time due to injury or they could end up losing their qualifying status.

basically we're potentially relying on something unreliable to get us our comp picks...

I was watching the bills draft war room coverage and I think I heared the Bills offering DeCosta #40, #131 and #147 for #22. I think our deal with the Eagles was better.

Harbaugh: That Timmy is a bad influence. You know better than to spend time with him.
Player: But coach, we work together.
Harbaugh: For now.

doing some projections for the final 53 and i reckon 39 of the spots are already locked:

I think these players are fighting for 14 spots but also that positionally we will definitely be keeping at least 2 but probably 3 OL, at least 2 but maybe 3 WRs, 2 or 3 of the DBs, 1 or 2 of the DL, and likely 2 LBs (but maybe not both on the roster already) from this list...

QB Trace Mcsorley
RB Kenneth Dixon
WR Chris Moore
WR Seth Roberts
WR Jordan Lasley
WR Antoine Wesley
WR Jaleel Scott
OL Matt Skura
OL Alex Lewis
OL Greg Senat
OL Jermaine Eluemunor
FB/DL Pat Ricard
DL Daylon Mack
DL Zach Sieler
DL Gerald Willis
ILB Chris Board
ILB Alvin Jones
S Deshon Elliott
CB Iman Marshall
CB Justin Bethel
CB Cyrus Jones
CB Maurice Canady
CB Stanley Jean-Baptiste

so that's 23 players trying to fill in 14 spots and only includes 2 of the udfas as well

Zrebiec:

"A couple of Ravens rookie minicamp notes/observations: DT Gerald Willis limped off, favoring his leg. Looked like he got tangled up with an OL.

Third-round WR Miles Boykin made handful of plays. Showed good hands. First-round WR Marquise Brown watched practice from side. Hes not expected to be back until training camp.

Former Baylor QB Jalen McClendon was here on tryout basis. Throws a really nice ball. Ravens could probably use another camp arm.

Recently-retired Haloti Ngata attended today’s practice."
