I'm not a hunter and don't really enjoy the thought of sport hunting, but these comparisons are more than ridiculous.

it's not a sport when an animal is against a gun or weapon. It's murder on every level.
Call military wars a sport, at least it's a tad more even.

the laughable war on terror is merely a sport to keep people distracted from their own stupidity for paying for it

Yeah, so how about that 2017 O line.

need to get a guard of a good quality before the trade window closes. bergstrom and bowanko are last resorts and the combo of hurst and bergstrom will be our O lines downfall.

That may be happening soon. It is being reported that the Ravens have just created an additional 2.66m in cap space by by converting salary to bonus with 1.96m on Jefferson and 1.79m on Tucker.

Honestly it shows that if not for the injuries to Lewis and Siragusa amd then Yanda we would have had a great Oline. It looks as though all our worries about the OLine in the offseason might have been overblown.

the main issue was RT and if Howard was in decline or it was just because of injuries last year. He's ( touch wood) looking like the howard of 2 seasons ago.

They really were. I think we had a great OL in the making and its really upsetting what injuries have done to it. I don't think you an blame the FO for what the job that they did. Howard and Stanley will have our edges sealed up and Jensen has been solid. Our worst guy on the OL was going to be Alex Lewis and he's solid himself.

Hmmm, so now we've restructured BWill, Jefferson and Tucker over the past two weeks.

So I was watching to Kevin byrne's video thing (coz I was bored) and he normally says boring things which didn't change here either - but he did specifically say that 2 players were being groomed to replace Yanda (without saying who) and I wonder if he's accidentally let slip that bergstrom might not be the starter

Goose is unproven and Lewis is sub standard at guard, the only proven loss is Yanda. Luckily we can replicate the loss of Lewis with bum ass Hurst or these other camp bodies we brought in.

He wasn't decent against the browns though really - but if he can play like he did vs the bengals then I'll be delighted
He was a nice surprise against the Bengals and played fairly well. I don't think he's been good or great by any means, against the Browns he pulled and was a contributor in the run game, I don't think he did well pass protecting at all. We're only two games in and I don't think any of them define Hurst, with that said we could have a lot of worse alternatives than Hurst ATM.

Any team with a solid defensive front is going to be scary. We've relied on running the ball and have been truly disciplined about doing so. Now that our O line has taken this massive hit, it will be that much harder to remain committed and we see what this team looks like when they can't run the ball (it isn't pretty).

Some are trying to console themselves on how the line look last week with Yanda out. That's not a test. The second half of the game against a defense that had been thrown on the field all day because their offense couldn't stop coughing up the ball isn't a benchmark for how this unit is going to fare from the opening snaps against a strong front.

If we hold up this week, I'll be somewhat surprised and encouraged. If we get eaten up, that's going to bode very badly for our season. Anything short of a win tomorrow and this team will be hard pressed to be a true playoff contender. There are just too many good teams in the AFC to expect we'll be among them if we can't run the ball and can't beat a Jax team at a neutral site.

It shows how far we have lowered the bar when we pump up Hurst because he's not as shit as was aka he worst tackle in PFF history and the guy who got Flacco killed and ruined two seasons. Are we actually celebrating that?

A trade is brewing with all these restructures but I have no idea who we can possibly acquire.
