Couldn't afford him, or would I be addressing depth by signing a Corner at this point.
his contract wasnt much.

We also only have between $4-5M in cap space right now, meaning if we signed a player in that price range, we'd need to restructure contracts or cut players in order to get more cap space just to sign draft picks.his contract wasnt much.

he is smart not to sign the tag. He wants to keep some leverage.i wonder if judon is going to be a smart arse and not sign his franchise tag quicky ;/

Hey guys, I admit I don't know much about Michael Brockers. His he an upgrade on our d-line over Michael Pierce? I have no idea how these two compare or how excited I should be. I know the Campbell trade was a big upgrade to our d-line but I would like to hear how the swap of Pierce for Brockers compares.

And that's fine... we have no details on the restructures. Its been expected that they'd look to convert salaries for Earl and Marcus (or both) into bonuses to free up some space, but hadn't heard any details. We are doing some minor restructures and Brian M. opines that we're probably around $10M right now, for what that's worth.

Ideally i'd have kept pierce and got rid of B will
Consider brockers an upgrade over wormley.
Pierce
Brockers
Campbell
looks much better. People forget how elite Pierce has been for us and his ''down year'' was still better than what B will has done for the most part
Not even close to doable money wise though.

That being said, $10M in space is practically nothing. Basically allows you for one mid-price signing with like a $4-5M cap hit, and then the rest you have to keep to the side for draft picks, rule of 51 elimination, etc.

1. I don't think you can find anybody who would argue that Pierce was better than Williams last year.
2. Realistically, there weren't many scenarios where you could cut Williams and keep Pierce from a financial standpoint. The cap savings just wasn't there.
Peters and Thomas are basically the only two players on the roster who I can see actually get a restructure, where they'd convert salary into bonus and get some cap savings.Oh agreed. It's not much, but as you said, it does support a mid-level signing and maybe 1 or 2 lower level types. Would anticipate a couple more restructures.
If they were both on the open market today, Williams would still get more money than Pierce in FA.Pierce is better than B Will. Sorry, but if we had to choose between the two no one would choose b will over pierce.
b will does nothing better than pierce. hes basically a lesser version of pierce.
No, you can only be traded once you actually have signed the tag.So if Judon signs the tag, he can't be traded? I'm confused. Thuney just signed his and it sounds like he'll be playing in NE for the year.
