Ravens Ring of Honor
Sure, but it gets old when all you do is shit on Harbaugh and are never around when things are going well
Things go well in the playoffs?? Since when? 2 wins (barely) since the Super Bowl season? Lmao

We made so many mistakes in the offseason that led to this. Yeah that loss to the Titans stung enough to improve the defense but man again, we ignored the offense. Losing a HOF Guard like Yanda and not doing anything to replace him? Fluker was alright but we keep drafting mid round guys expecting them to blossom into starters. Do you know who the last IOL was we drafted in the first round? Ben Grubbs way back in 2007.
Our offense may scare defenses but man our passing game doesn't. Again expecting mid round guys to develop into all pros like Boykin and is unacceptable. Once teams shut down Brown and Andrews, who else is there that scares them and can spread defenses? NOBODY. That was our downfall, yeah Josh Allen improved because he has Stefon Diggs to catch his passes and make big plays. Lamar doesn't have that guy, it's amazing how year after year we waste good defenses because of a lack of any kind of offense. Just so frustrating.
i think the problem i have evaluating roman is that the personnel at receiver is so bad that it's hard to know whether the scheme has anything to do with it - there were some things when kurt warner was looking at it where you could point at the coach and ask "what the hell are you thinking" but even more plays where you looked and go there's no way that's what they called/no way that's what you've been coached to do and it's clearly somewhat on the players
but that does leave you with the problem of not quite knowing what's working (if anything) - do you scrap the whole thing and just start again? possibly...
what's clear is that the passing scheme and coordinating is not positively impacting the team right now - the personnel maybe tanking it to make it look irredeemable but it's safe to say that the passing game is not elevating the personnel we have right now - so many of our most important plays in the playoffs (especially in the passing game) have come on broken plays where lamar's created magic mostly with hollywood but sometimes with andrews too but our in phase/in rhythm passing attack has offered basically nothing against teams that seem to have a good understanding of how to slow down this running game - bills were the first team to slow us down in 2019 and the Titans obviously refined that in the playoffs last year and have continued to stifle this offence in both matchups in 2020
I did wonder if it was just Harbaugh covering for him. Sounds like it was. It was a bad game all around and I blame it on poor execution and not being able to put your players in the right position to succeed. Get Lamar some better pieces and he will do better as well.i mean some of those snaps looked way off before the wind had a chance to affect them
remember he gave skura some excuses too and then a week later skura did it again and we benched him
mekari has been good snapping down the stretch but im not sure it can be excused by the weather
I'm talking all together, not just the playoffsThings go well in the playoffs?? Since when? 2 wins (barely) since the Super Bowl season? Lmao
In all fairness, I do think we need to get Lamar to a place where he doesn’t try to put too much on himself. Get him some help and let him develop some trust, and then the reigns can be loosened. Right now this passing game in particular is just too devoid of talent and he tries to do it all himself.
Respectfully... please. We can't continue to blame the talent. Many have blamed the talent for years. Other teams are able to develop WR's and QB's, why not us? To me, it's coaching. It's gone on long enough with enough draft cycles with the same player criticisms to continue to say it's merely players and that they "don't get it" or "buy in." At some point we need to question whether the team is doing enough in the coaching realm once these high value picks get to the bigs, for Pete's sake. This has been the excuse at WR for a decade. We need to look in the mirror, especially when we see lesser prospects on other teams far exceeding our draft value at that position.
I've seen everything I need to see, and others who I hold in very high esteem around the league have seen everything they need to see, in saying he can't do it. At this point, perhaps the better question would be when has he shown that he possesses the ability to do it?
The only GOOD that I saw tonight happened before the game started. I was scrolling my IG feed when I came across this gem from this random IG model I follow. Save your "tasteless" and/or "classless" comments, I don't give a fuck.

Very sorry to see that there are those who try to tell people they aren't true "fans" if they don't drink the kool-aid and think everything done by everybody is perfect and in tip-top shape. I am sorry
It was clearly in his head after the first one. Not sure it can even really be debated. He messed up and then didn’t recover mentally.
I think that’s part of it but we’ve also added a bunch of athletes there that needed development. Hopefully coaching does that but also have to understand the floor is low.
I mean, look at Boykin. Put up insane testing numbers but nothing he does on the field matches up. Is that coaching’s fault or is that just another FO fault?
I think it’s all of the above. FO has a different idea of what a WR is. Coaching can’t develop it. Personnel just isn’t that good. It’s a multitude of failures, coaching included. But not solely coaching.
IOL struggled
Dobbins - no excuse for two drops wide open
Lamar still holding the ball and waiting for stuff to get open generally
Bills sold out to crash both edges and we couldn't seem to get over the top through the air....have to be able to do that. have to or this will happen every year.
Lamar missing the flats early...no routes aimed at conflicting of defenders in zone...pedestrian
Might have been the worst snap Ive ever seen...that got Lamar concussed.
Huntley played with good poise and was let down by Dobbins and Mark Andrews
Not sure how #29 is viable option in coverage over Averett at this point
Tucker has missed 3 of his last 5 FG's
Passing game and passing concepts need to improve if we want to make a run in the future
Disappointing to not show better on offense
I don't disagree with you, but I think the track record is long of lackluster development. To me that's lack of adequate coaching. You don't expend a high draft pick on players like that to develop on their own or at their own pace. I have no idea whether I'm right in that criticism, but as an outsider not knowing inner-workings, it sure seems like there's a significant coaching breakdown with respect to these players. Especially considering what other teams are able to do with lesser picks. Either we don't assess correctly OR we don't progress them once they get here. Not every player is successful, but you'd think at least a few WR picks would garner a fan opinion greater than "decent." Somewhere the ball is being dropped... literally.
