lol i hope not - barr's cool but not sure why we'd possibly even consider taking on 12m+ cap hits (for the next 3 years) for a LB who hardly even played in 2019 as part of the compensation for Orlando

would make almost no sense - in 1 fell swoop it would wipe out most of our effective cap space

John Brown himself is probably not an option given his prior experience here with Lamar as a rookie lol but this is the kind of calibre of WR we might have a shot at - bills saved 8m from cutting him (cost just over 9m against the cap) which in other years would be a very reasonable rate for someone like Brown

I don't know if I'd count his experience in his rookie year with him, but I'd rather sign Jones or even Davis over Brown.

I wouldn’t read too much into it honestly. The restructure was going to happen regardless. It’s not necessarily for anything in particular. It was just an easy restructure to make to free up a little bit of space.

also didn’t do a max restructure which means right now his cap hit next year is still pretty reasonable and also if we need there is potentially a bit more money we can squeeze out of his cap hit this year if we need to

i hadn't seen any of that lol
i mean fair enough if that's what he wants to do but here right now might be his best opportunity to get decent snaps with the state of our EDGE and DL corps

it probably should be said that re-signing McPhee and potentially going out and getting Autry (not that it's even likely we get him) would definitely reduce that potential play-time for him

He thinks the rotation is holding him back, in reality the scheme is what’s gotten him his only nfl production to date.
