He really didn’t have any other options, wasn’t going to be able to throw back across his body rolling out to the right. Rolling out really limited the choices, couldn’t run either, too much traffic.
Hollywood was the better option and was running stride for stride and wide open. Not calling a rollout would also have given him a bit more time in the pocket and not cut half the field. Makes it much more difficult.

Think we let Joker walk and start Stephens next year?

i think they move on from deshon yeah - it's possible if he doesnt find anything elsewhere that he could come back cheap but then there's the potential that he could become a progress blocker somewhat for stephens - then again deshon was really important to us on the backend this year and he offers a dynamic ability against the run and in man coverage that chuck doesnt quite have in the same way

honestly im just not really sure - i think also it will depend on his recovery and rehab and that might screw up his free agency somewhat too - it may well be that we and he decide to run it back one more year - the only difficulty would be working out how to get stephens on the field even if he's not the starter - and maybe that just means playing lots more dime again

Did David sharpe do much better than tyre? I’m pretty sure Cleveland looks like a gigantic upgrade over powers, but Sharpe appeared to really solidify the right side because tyre has been a fucking embarrassment and he was horrible tonight as well

i mean sharpe's first snap he got destroyed around the edge, nearly gave up a sack, and should have been called for a hold

no idea about the rest of the game except that he got 2 drives before they put tyre back in and then got rolled up on

Really wish we had a legit screen game. I miss rollout and boot action plays that we seemed to employ in 2014, Joe loved running those, in fact, QBs in general love those given how it gets them moving in space. We need to get to making simple plays like those and screens work. Those types of plays can get us a good chunk of yardage and bring another element to the passing game. I really hope Dobbins either becomes a pass-catching threat out the backfield or we draft one.

I seriously miss how we used Ingram in the passing game in 2019, got him in space on designed wheel or swing patterns and he would just make a play. We seriously are missing the element of a pass-catching back because sadly we have a decimated roster.

If we have H2H over the colts and chargers then how are they in the 5/6 seed over us?
I don't get it either

If I’m reading this right then what @rossihunter2 said doesn’t apply

that's another side effect of having a very heavy-personnel and tight formation oriented offence - makes it difficult to create space horizontally

and ingram was an actual route-runner as a RB - didnt have the biggest route tree but he had some nuance to his routes and was a very reliable pass catcher - as you say on swings or wheels but he also ran a beautiful texas route a few times - really good off the scramble also - just a general nice feel for coverage and how to take advantage of LBs

Ravens Ring of Honor
The Steelers game it was the right playcall, this week was a bad playcall but I still agree that we should have gone for 2 rather than put the ball in Arods hands if they. win the coin toss.

I feel the same way with this first portion of your post but still feel that we should have taken that FG after coming from 11 pts behind. However, I do like the intent of trying to win the game. Guess I am pissed cause the Ravens efficiency rate on their 2pt conversion seems to be low. They suck at it so to me, leave it alone! That may be on the plays being called? I do know this though, that roll-out :poop: play needs to be deleted.

But then again, our offensive line that year was one of the best we had in a long time.

Practice Squad
miss? Marcus Peters and one of the rb.
with Huntley I agree, too good to be an undrafted in his 2 starting game.
btw, great match for Stephens.
does anyone know who wore the green dot today?

Yes, Geno Stone wore the green dot.

Having Peters and one of JK or Edwards would have bade a world of difference.

stone? surprising, I think it was good
That was surprising to me as well, but @rossihunter2 mentioned that they had some practice or maybe even preseason games with him having the green dot. Not completely sure about this but Rossi will pipe in. Stone had never started a game and I thought Bowser would be the one with the dot, even though he wasn't in the middle of the defense, due to him playing close to 90% of the snaps over the last few weeks.

Agree it he seemed to do well. I'm looking forward to hearing Ken McKusick's filmstudyravens.com take on this weeks games after he breaks everything down.
