Sammy watkins, he was active but I didn't see him at all today.

He definitely didn't play much. Would imagine just getting activated yesterday and not getting any practice all week played into it some, but I also think they're phasing him out for younger guys and this was an opportunity to continue that.

Stephens, Young and Queen very good, Jefferson quite good.
Clark is not convincing me, we give away too many yards when he is, we need an update on who manages the green dot either lb or safetie there you have to invest ..
in attack, I can't understand why McCreary or Williams have no plays, Freeman and Murray don't make any difference.
it is clear that bateman, proche, wallace, Andrews, marquise, duvernay win their 1vs1, if we are going to go that way Roman does not seem the right one to me.

The offensive line, bozeman, Cleveland and mekari are still the best. in my opinion.
he was relatively good in protection but thanks to the short and fast passes, if lamar can make them, we are going to be very dangerous

Things went as expected.

The depressing part is we will probably have Josh at QB next week too and the starting secondary may be even worse next week. if AA and Young are out, Jimmy and Westry returning would still be a downgrade. I would at least want to be able to have hope going into one game before the end of a season
Now it feels like the offseason started end of November

Also anyone else note the broadcast shot of harbs and EDC near the end of the game - obviously i know EDC's on the sideline most games but they both looked more resigned/defeated than i can remember

and i think that came out in harbs's presser - first time ive really felt like he acknowledged that maybe the absences truly hurt us (he never makes excuses and has always touted next man up but this is the first time ive felt like he didnt believe it)

They're most likely shocked like us for us to have THIS many players out due to COVID protocol and injuries. It's beyond unfathomable.

I'm prepared for the hate I will recieve but I think we are seeing Lamar was the problem vs cover 0 not the scheme.

I'm sorry but calling read-option plays with a 35 year old qb gets an automatic F from me. Also I have a hard time saying that Lamar struggles against cover 0 or that Roman's scheme can beat cover 0 when back in 2019 the scheme for beating cover 0 was "Lamar beat the free rusher and make a play"

yeah looked like wallace got the majority of the snaps in the 3 WR sets ahead of proche but they both played lots of snaps

boykin played a bit but notably got chewed out by harbs after no attacking the ball on the free play

but i think we got a really good look at what our receiving group is going to look like for the next couple of years - can add duvernay in too but i dont foresee any significant additions to that group especially if the coaching staff start to like tylan wallace

Hollywood was disappointing again. Johnson hit him right in the hands a couple of times and it just bounced off. And the lack of YAC continues to be an issue.

As it stands now I wouldn’t be upset to see next year as his last in Baltimore. I know he’s fast and all, but he’s very inconsistent and IMO not worth a big vet contract. Seems he’s a #2 at best.

i mean that was fine in 2019 because we'd go to empty sets which meant that even in a zero blitz situation the offence could only send 6 which made it much more predictable where the rusher was coming from - and even more so because we had stanley, bozeman, skura, yanda and orlando in that OL who were dominating

lamar was able to find the open guy before the rush got home because the field was spread out and he wasn't under multiple pressures and only had to deal with the free rusher

and in terms of cover-0 issues this year, it's less about lamar and more that we've started introducing more hot routes and receivers have started breaking tackles

hard to say it's lamar when the offence has looked completely different

i mean he's inconsistent in the sense that he's not going to break tackles...
but he consistently gets open at all 3 levels - it's almost like our inability to schematically beat cover-0 and lamar's slump have impacted our downfield passing game...

hard to make plays downfield when the ball's not catchable

he's consistently rinsing DBs downfield and either been missed (by the read) or missed (by the throw)

Said this before. I don't think people realize how open Hollywood actually gets. Not bringing him back would be stupid to me.

And I come from the school of don't like it then stop it. Wink shouldn't have popped off knowing who he had in the secondary. Really dumb when you realized what they did to one of our "healthier" rosters too.
