I don't disagree for the most part, but paying a guy like Bozeman more than you think he's worth is how you get into cap trouble in the first place. I'm all about filling holes but we also have to be realistic in that it's not easy to fill every single one of them with a good or better player or a draft pick that can come in right away and play quality ball.

Time to put a quality O line on the field, even if it requires sacrifice elsewhere.

Then, there's a constant inflation of players' salaries. $15M/year isn't the same as it was when Bozeman got drafted.

I'd actually add Houston to this mix, but that's my opinion. I'd love to have him back on another inexpensive contract, but that may be too much to ask.

I wanted to move on from both coordinators but I’m low key sad, wink has his talents, and he’s a hell of a coach and seems like a hell of a guy, it’s the right move though. The writing was on the wall when both Judon and ngakoue went on to have monster seasons, after ZDS went on to have a monster season.

Sounds like a we were gonna fire you but we'll frame it to where it looks amicable even though it's not. I think Wink really struggled this year but he had some of the worst personnel groupings you could ask for, so still very surprised by this. Figured if there was anyone that was gonna get a shot to correct it, it would be Wink.

With that being said, I wonder if we're also tired of losing young and upcoming coaches from that staff. Would almost anticipate this is an internal hire once again.

Also one kinda outside consideration for DC... Mike Macdonald. He left for Michigan last year but Harbaugh said he probably would have been the next DC if Wink had gotten a HC job. If Jim heads to LV...
