Signings, Cuts, Trades

And we are surprised that Lamar will be a 50+M/yr QB? Lamar will break all records till it is time for Herbert and Burrow to sign their contracts. I am curious about greedy little Kyler and his agent's expectations for a contract now? You think that little chipmunk would want 50+ too?

Imagine the outrage if we ever found out EDC tried to lowball Lamar and his camp before the start of this 2022 off-szn and that’s why Lamar ghosted them. Lol

That's probably exactly what happened. Although "lowball" is relative. I'm sure in Lamar's eyes, anything other than the highest paid QB in the league is a low ball offer. Which is crazy, he should be payed slightly less then Aaron Rodgers but Cleveland went a screwed that all up with Watson.

Yup.. can’t blame them for that. Who could’ve predicted Watson would get a fully guarantee like that. But they knew the risk by trying to play this game again. Backfired if it did happened like that.

Deshan elliot signed a a year 3.65 mil with the lions. glad to see him go to a team where he can start at least, but wow that is way more money than I thought a guy who played 22/ 65 games might get
Worth up to that amount. Would imagine a good portion is tied to incentives.

True, important to mention, but still I thought he would be a close to vet min type guy. His deal can be worth more than both Bozeman and Tavons. Would definitely value the later two higher imo

He’s a player I really hate to see go. Obviously I just don’t see a likely spot for him on this team where we could justify his pay, the reps just aren’t there. But man he was an identity player, loved having him when we played teams with those star bellcow backs, he was a great tone setter against them.

Anyone see Bakers video he released?
I did. I felt sorry for him. He hasn't lost his bravado though. Or is putting one up. There is an undercurrent of immaturity and arrogance still there in the way he speaks about the Browns and himself. He is a nice kid though. I just hope he lands on his feet. I guess he has earned enough money never to play again, but I want him to go to Seattle and embarrass the Browns by playing better than Deshaun Watson. That would actually be nice to see.

The browns definitely told him one thing and did another. I feel bad for him because he's given Cleveland his all in a way no other Browns QB has in a LONG time. Obviously they have every right to do that though.

Anyway my point here is that I don't think he did himself a lot of favors by sharing that vid

In honor of the Joker leaving us:

I'm sure the Browns are adding to his frustration by holding up a possible trade with a ridiculous asking price. I'd take on Baker for a 3rd Round pick and his 19 mil salary. Browns probably think he is worth a 1st rounder....

and as soon as we signed marcus williams, he was never going to come back here because he will want to play snaps and will want to go somewhere where he can start or at least compete to start and rehab his value and maybe get a bigger deal next year - that wasnt happening with the ravens unless we were the only team offering him a deal at that point

Marcus Williams and DeShon Elliot would’ve been a more exciting safety pairing than Williams and Clark :)
