Since I'm a worrier, let me share my biggest worry with this upcoming season. It isn't the pass rush and it isn't the receivers.

To me, it is the corners. The team has possibility to have excellent corners, but it also feels like it could go down the drain real fast if things don't pan out in the best way:
* No worries about Marlon
* Peters - we don't know the state he's in. If he's his old self, then awesome and a lot of worries disappear. But if he needs weeks or months to get back to normal, who do we trust to start in his spot?
* Fuller - based on what I've read about his 2021, he's on a steep downhill slope. Can of course have been a fluke bad season with a bad HC and he returns to form with the Ravens. But we won't know until a few weeks in, so until then, I'm going to worry
* Pepe seems like a draft steal, but we've only seen him against scrubs, so the jury's still out. I'm optimistic about him, though. But can't expect him to play starter quality snaps on the outside this year, but may be that in the slot already.
* Stephens - I could see him as an upcoming safety last year. I am yet to see a viable outside corner in him and I'm not sure we have time to develop him now with this group. Hope I'm really wrong.
* Armour-Davies - So far in his career, he makes Jimmy Smith seem like the iron horse. Will he hold up more than 2 snaps at a time before getting injured? Good potential, but will he be able to get on the field?

Considering how often CBs go down, which of these are we going to trust on the outside when the shit inevitably hits the fan?

Now, I got that off my chest, let's cross our fingers that all 6 are shared first-team All-Pros this year ;)

This post did age well. It took all of ONE WEEK until we have two CBs who are not on the injury report.
Is there so curse cast on Raven CBs? This SIIE stuff sounds like dealing with black magic, so did youhave to sacrifice one position group to make it work?
 
I know it’s probably been talked about in other threads, but really sad what’s happened to Nick Boyle. He just did not look like himself out there in preseason and clearly he’s not going to be playing much this year. Cap reasons are the only reason he’s still here.

For sure. But could he really be worse than Oliver as a blocker?
 
Anyone else experiencing weird things going on when you type your posts? I know my typing is not this bad, and I have not had anything to drink today after hitting it pretty hard yesterday. Weird changes to words, capital letters in words when I have not touched the shift key. Typing my posts on this site today has been as frustrating as the game was. I am not having any trouble at all typing on Facebook today.

But I don't get that. He's not healthy then right? You don't hurt your knee and then lose all of your football skill. If he's incapable of anchoring, it's because he's not healthy enough to do so right? He didn't forget how to block

or he's just lost his athleticism

he's not missed practice, he's only appeared on the injury report once because of a rest day, he played the whole way through preseason

with every passing week it seems like his career might be over

You're not wrong with that last statement, but it's so confusing. Is this something like Saquon where he really needs 2 years to get it back?

my worry is that he's only on this team because of cap reasons
my hope is that he just needs more time

Maybe I'm naive but I don't think EDC keeps him for cap reasons when WE ONLY HAVE 2 OLBs ON THE TEAM. I'm sure he would've used that spot if he thought he could.
