The Random Thought Thread

It's worst in the league so far from what I saw.

This type of luck is deflating at times.
It's deflating because although it's a somewhat new statistic, there are clear and obvious trends about superbowl teams and BUS score. If you took nothing but this score into account you'd probably predict a total collapse at some point relatively soon. I don't see that happening honestly even in the face of this stat, but we will see. Super deflating in general and super deflating about Pierce and Williams in particular. A couple of my really up their favorite guys in terms of personality and performance.

I can't see a total collapse because the schedule, on paper, seems to be relatively manageable and Lamar is still going, knock on wood, but I cannot see a deep playoff run.

Seem to lose 1 a week. Is this trend happening on other teams?

Oh I totally agree I don't see a collapse. But that's my point against the BUS score. Although it's been pretty effective, it should be predicting that we probably aren't even a playoff team and I don't see that happening. So let's be the first team to break the BUS score trend!

I'm almost wary of making the playoffs if the Ravens don't get healthier because I don't see the team winning or playing particularly well, so then we have another offseason of posts about how Lamar needs to be better in the playoffs when it's largely circumstances out of his control.

WelI don't think that's unfair at all. I think that you've seen over the last 2 weeks, the defense play a little better although I'd still say poorly because they keep blowing 4th leads. The offense has regressed and that's what scares me.

If we can find a happy medium between the lightning of the first 3 weeks and then blegh of the last 2 on offense consistently, we'll be in good shape. The defense has to continue to get better and has a long way to go. Hopefully Houston, Bowser, and Ojabo can help.

I have hope that the offense can turn it around. We've seen Lamar struggle early in a season before catching fire and being a unanimous MVP.

I really do think a healthier Dobbins, healthy Bateman, and a healthy Stanley are huge boosts to the offense. Hopefully the defense shows Cinci wasn't a fluke and hopefully Ojabo, Bowser, and Houston kickstart the pass rush, if for no other reason than the linebackers won't play 80%+ of the snaps.

With all the benefit of hindsight, in which round are you drafting Tucker today?
Is it just us or does every other team have the same hindsight? It really depends on that. If it is just us, then we wait till the 5th round to get him. Otherwise, we may never get him, no matter what.

We've also been poor in short yardage situations. Hopefully Gus can help out there too. Another thing that's been disappointing was this team was supposed to have a 3 headed monster at TE, but it only has Mark Andrews. Boyle is dead, Oliver is bad, and Likely is bad.

I have high hopes for likely going forward but he's not gonna really contribute significantly this year. We were counting on them given the WR situation and they haven't at all stepped up.

I had Ojabo and Bowser coming back late October to November. Right now we're 1 game up. Have the Giants next and Browns after. Both games are winnable. Do that and we're most likely 2 games up on our comp owning H2H. The only problem is I didn't see us losing players at this rate either. But if we can stay relatively healthy and we get those extra rushers back, I truly think this team has a shot at a run. When guys get their legs back under them around December is when we want to be playing our best ball anyway.

Day and night difference with Stanley on the field. We ran to the left side with a ton of success

Browns being a divisional game will be a tough game and they have a lot of good talent on that defense and a good offensive line.
