Some of these HCs are lunatics. WTF are you going for 2pt conversion, just after the other idiot gave you the opportunity to tie the score???
KC going for 2 made sense to me in that situation. If you don't get it most likely only up the 7. Do get it up you're 2 poss and time is against them. I don't know what the hell the Raider were thinking. I'm convinced McDaniels is already missing daddy Belichick.

And he had 4 @Ellicottraven

I didn't like Reid's call. Kick for one and you're forcing the Raiders to go for 2 just to tie it. And you still get the ball back.

Right, but if you get the 2 point conversion, games basically over.
If you don't, you're up 7, which means you're either tied if Raiders score, or you force them to go for 2 and the win.

In most situations, if you have the ability to turn a one score game into a two score game, you should take it in that spot.

I know it’s hard for a lot of fans to grasp but it’s so goddamn hard to stop a 2 minute drill in todays nfl that your best bet is to not allow the 2 minute drill at all, too many things can go wrong to give a team an easy TD at the end, bad RTP, bad DPI call, blown coverage, etc.

An 8 point lead with time remaining is never safe if you don’t possess the ball, but a 9 point lead almost guarantees a win.

especially now that the onside kick is much harder.

I agree with this

I'm really upset that Boyles career is probably over. Like we've seen a revelation with Stanley's 1/3 of a game. We've really seen a revelation with Dobbins. We're gonna see the same thing with Gus hopefully. If Boyle was able to get back healthy we'd probably be able to recreate that 2019 like running game. Even if it wasn't quite as good. It's a shame.

Maybe it's just so ridiculous to even think Kolar can help, but idk if anyone has noticed, it seems like at least one or two plays a game Likely is motioned in the backfield and he seems totally out of place not even making a block of any kind actually getting in the way of the RB. Kolar is also not a blocker but he's just a bigger body and maybe that can help us. Idk

on the plus side - josh oliver probably had his best game as a run blocker on sunday against the bengals

Raiders go for 2 instead of the PAT and find themselves down 1 late
The stupidity never stops. Coaches making simple stuff difficult.

Pretty clear you want to resign Peters if possible.
You need to add a couple of EDGE players
You need an ILB
You need a couple of DL
You need a RB3
You need a couple of WRs
You need a TE.

We really should be looking pretty good for next year if we can take care of Lamar, Peters, and have one more good draft.

While I feel bad for him, I think it was pretty clear by the end of last year that 2022 was going to be the final year for Boyle in Baltimore, regardless of whether he continues his career or not.

So if Lamar stays on the franchise tag into FA, this list will have additional cuts and roster spots being opened.
Boyle will be cut.
Campbell 80/20 to retire
Edwards likely to be cut

Other guys I'd consider their roster spot to be "questionable":
Clark
Moses
Bowser (depending on how he recovers from injury)
Zeitler (a wildcard for me... get a lot of cap space if we move on from him)

I've wondered if we would move on from Zeitler as well, but I believe that depends on how much confidence the front office and coaching staff has in Cleveland taking over that role. Same goes with Faalele taking over for Moses.

I've always been a fan of Moses and am glad he's on the Ravens and would hope he is here through the end of next season, but I could absolutely see them moving on from him.

100% of it depends on Lamar's situation. He signs an extension, you can basically keep, cut, sign literally anybody you want. Price basically isn't even a problem at that point. We can shop top, middle, bottom of the market.

If he's at least on the tag at the beginning of FA, they may have some moderately tough decisions to make. Guys like Zeitler and Moses aren't expensive per say, but they may expendable.

With Moses, assuming Stanley gets back to normal, you have Stanley, Mekari and Faalele. Moses becomes a luxury at that point. He's also not really a high-end player. Good player, but not great.

Zeitler's salary isn't prohibitive, but there's a good chunk of cap space to be obtained by moving on AND they could look to upgrade both Guard spots in the offseason. Even if you think Cleveland is ready, Powers is a UFA anyway, so you're probably looking to get new Guards.

Ultimately I think they'd move off of one, but not both, with the one being Moses.

I agree 100% with this. Liking Moses comes more that he's a good player that has played through injury in the past and tends to be available. He's by far not an elite player, but can pinch in at left tackle if needed. That being said, with our current depth we won't need that.

Off to Amsterdam with the boys, if you don’t hear from me again it’s becuase I’ve moved to the red light district permanently.
