Roquan Smith reminds me a lot of Ray Lewis. Very good leader, excellent tackler, playmaker, solid INT guy
nothing like Ray Lewis as a player, but he is an excellent tackler and playmaker and one of the best linebackers in the game and will command top dollar, ie Warner and Leonard

I'm not so sure he's that different than Lewis

he doesn't get off blocks like Ray Lewis. Not at all. He avoids blocks with his athleticism and that's not a bad thing as he's one of the best, Ray is more a traditional MLB.

Ray got gobbled up by OL which is why he fared far better with big DTs in front of him

Ray was much better at stacking and shedding blocks though. That is not Roquan's game at all and yes any ILB is going to do better with a talented DT in front of him. That's obvious.

you can disagree. Now go and watch the tape on how roquan plays. There is a really good All 22 on him that shows how he avoids blocks.

Just because he smartly avoids them doesn't mean he can't stack and shed. Takes less wear and tear to avoid blocks than to go all out in seeking blocks out

Kinda crazy, it wouldn't shock me if we somehow ended up as the 2 or even 1 seed with the remaining schedule. Every other team has a tough schedule to duke out with the East being absolutely reckless and the chiefs having some tricky games (plus they don't have a tie breaker on thanks to the giants if they lose another game)

I doubt we get the one seed, but if we can somehow sneak into the 2, I think that would be absolutely perfect. I don't want our young team sitting around, instead we get 2 straight home games to rack up confidence and then likely @ KC

super deep and hypothetical, but always fun to think about those things

god I hope we get Baker’s bitch ass after the bye

Stack and shed is not the same as avoiding. There is a HUGE difference both in technique and results. When a blocker is in a gap, and a LB rocks his shit, stands him up in his gap, then the flow of the entire offense is thrown off, the gap has not only been closed but a logjam occurs there as well. Avoiding a blocker and then penetrating has potential to make bigger plays, but fundamentally ray and roquan are very different
