WR/RB Thread

Hypothetically if Ozzie did trade for Landry right before today's deadline, would that spell the end for Perriman? I think it would be better to release Wallace in the off-season and give Perriman one last chance if a move for Landry is made.

Yeah I barely hold onto hope the Ravens go after Landry and feel like they can pay him. I doubt he gets $13 million a year but you would still be paying him 10-11 most likely

Sooky this is offtopic but I finally found out what your avatar pic is and its one of the funniest videos ive ever seen.

I'm not so sure the Ravens pick up Perriman's 5th year option this next season but I do think he plays out his final year in Baltimore next season. That will likely be his last chance to prove himself in Baltimore.

i had a dream perriman was traded to the browns for the rights to josh gordon. even if gordon never plays again it would be no different than what perriman has shown thus far. i wish perriman could stay healthy along with maxx and help the damn offense out.

We need to grab who ever scouts WRs for the Steelers. We can't draft a WR to save our lives.

problem is most front office scouts who have sway are area/regional scouts rather than positional so it would be hard to pinpoint who/what is making the difference in wr scouting

That's a good point. I honestly don't know who is responsible for the Steelers having so much success with WRs.

Can't be scouting only. I bet at least 50% falls on coaching/development/QB
I don't know about coaching, I think people attribute too much of a receivers growth to positional coaches. These coaches are really more responsible for putting their players in a position to succeed then their development. Scheming is on the coaches, execution is on the players and I think they flat out have an eye for finding receivers.

The Steelers definitely know how to draft/find wide receivers but I don't think Ju Ju Smith Schuaster was a guy that wasn't on The Ravens radar especially if anyone goes back how Eric Decosta mention him before the draft . JuJu Smith Schuster was a guy I thought that would have been available in the third round for The Ravens but it just didn't work out that way.

im not sure it is our scouts. i think it is ozzie overriding everyone when on the clock and taking gambles on guys like correia, arthur brown etc etc.. thinking he is going to out smart every other gm instead of drafting diggs, juju and some of the other guys we have passed over, plus i do not think engram has done a good job developing the guys we do draft. i have seen no improvement in moore, perriman when healthy, matthews etc etc.. jmo

i hope bowser comes around soon because he has been a ghost since the first 2 games or so and juju is heating up

I feel like the real problem is that we put so much stock into speed. Like dude, get a guy who gets separation and has great hands. I still can't believe we took correa over Thomas and Sheppard. I tried my damnedest to see only the upside in correa but he clearly doesn't have it.

that's a good point - the only non-athlete we've drafted at wr since the superbowl is campanaro
