The Random Thought Thread

Think 2-2 is the default most logical scenario. Then its just question of seeding. 5 seed would be ideal with a likely TEN matchup. I think Dolphins end up 11-6, so going to be hard to get the 5 seed unless we win 3/4.

11-6 as the 6 seed I think is most likely outcome.
Yea I can see 2-2. It all comes down to QB. I really struggle to to believe Brown will do enough to beat Cleveland. Atlanta , at home, vs Ridder should be a similar performance to the Steelers game that we win. No way Brown or Huntley will out score Cinci in Cinci. Steelers game is a toss up, always is regardless of QB.

Meanwhile being the starter and being the better player are two different things as the Steelers are learning. There is nothing that Pickett does better than Trubisky so telling me that they will have Pickett back means nothing to me. At best it means they have the exact same quality of QB for the rematch whereas the Ravens will be far better off.
Pickett had no idea what he was seeing out there. He scrambled on 4 of 6 dropbacks or something like that. Maybe he settles in as the game goes on, but it surely looked like the Ravens had him guessing early on. Its funny though, with this rivalry it doesn't seem to matter who is at QB they are always close games. Flacco, Big Ben, Troy Smith, Charlie Batch, Dennis Dixon, Lamar, Pickett, Ryan Mallet, Duck Hodges, Trubisky.... pretty wild

I want names of everyone who was talking that Tua bullshit about him being good. I stood tall calling him trash while leading a fluke come back and the weeks after. Was tough times but stayed true to my beliefs now look at him.
I also said he was trash. He did pick a part our rookie secondary in that 4th quarter though

Fun fact about this "better" QB, the Browns look far worse on offense with him behind center. What you saw with the Browns is that Watson is not going to look very good this year. Maybe in a couple weeks near the end of the year he will look good, but he is not a good player right now. Watson is just a name right now but not a good player.

You already lost betting on the Saints to cover so as a free tip: if that spread is 5 or less for the Ravens in either division game take the Ravens and take the points and you will walk away getting your money back.
Well, on Pickett/Trubisky, Pickett doesn't come close to throwing those 3 INTs. Maybe one, at most, which is the deep shot, and that's assuming he overthrows that badly. He's not making those horrible decisions that Trubisky has been making for years. Maybe the Steelers don't score more points, but a lot of those INT decisions are very "Mitch-like". They're just terrible reads and terrible decisions. Pickett is significantly better in that regard, though he takes far less risks.

I don't think I need betting tips. I do quite well. Was with all the sharps last night who had the Chargers money line.

I think Huntley starts. I think he'll clear protocol.

If Huntley can go we can beat the Browns and Falcons. Steelers will be tough like always, and we need Lamar for the Bengals. 2-2 is reasonable, but I think we can go 3-1 as long as there's no other big injury. If the Bills beat the Bengals for us we still have a shot of winning the division.

The fun part is not knowing Lamar's status. He could play next week, he may not play again this year. Going to be a long four weeks

The Dolphins would be cream of the crop if they had a QB that could pump the ball down the field more consistently. Can only imagine Hill and Waddle numbers if they didn't have to wait and fight for some of the deep balls. If they could just be hit in stride, good lord.

Speaking of Hollywood, in only 7 games this year he has over a hundred yards more than our top WR (Hollywood at 531 before tonight's game and Robinson for us at 390).

I’d much rather have HIMderbaum for the future
