The 2023 Offseason Thread

A second, at most. Being hopeful, maybe a first, but that is ridiculously unlikely.

Shiet… I was thinking a 3rd. No way he fetches a 1st, unless EDC a wizard

Patrick Queen for Brandin Cooks?

We on this train fellas?

Why did I think Cooks was 33? He seems like he's been in the league forever. That contract a little crazy though.

I feel queen is a player much more valuable to coaches than he is to fans. He’s really really good at what he is good at. Honestly he’s probably more valuable on our team than almost any other, less coverage responsibility, other mlb the communicator, and huge defensive linemen.

I dnt think queen is good at all just like i dnt think devin white is good, but id like to keep him lmao. I cant see us winning a SB because of our offense so id rather keep all the defensive pieces as we can. Then again, can probably replace queen as with a rookie
Yeah, but I would prefer not to use a high pick on a LB, we already have tons of needs.

I don't think Queen to Houston makes much sense on either side. Houston want to keep their picks for the rebuild and they want to keep their most reliable WR for the rookie QB, plus Cooks' salary would be a problem for the Ravens.

I think 'contending' (ish) teams like the Chargers, Giants, Seahawks, Browns etc, who have had problems at ILB for years make more sense for Queen, and I think a draft pick would be a better return for the Ravens than a big salary.

Queen really didn't excel until Roquan started playing. I think the Ravens believe Roquan will make anyone around him better and they will take the chance of trading queen for a receiver ,cornerback, draft picks, etc.
I think they will trade Queen if they find a good deal. I trust DeCosta to do that.

Queen had stepped up before Roquan showed up. We've got to hope other teams noticed that too, if we want to get a decent trade return.

I agree with the idea that Roquan should be able to carry a lesser ILB and I think he can, but Ravens fans give him credit for everything. He's great and all, but Queen and the defense as a whole were improving before he arrived, as they got used to MacDonald's system and vice versa.

Queen was terrible the 1st quarter of the season and did start to improve before Roquan got here . But Roquan helped him tremendously when he got here.

That would be a mistake because queens range, speed, and first step make him substantially more dangerous in a weaponized LB2 role than most players in the league. Roquan can make any LBs job easier but he can’t give LB2 the speed to blitz for an instant sack or big TFL, something queen has done incredibly well even since before roquan, frankly queen was always a liability as LB1 but he has been a major playmaker since week 1 of his rookie year
