2023 Forum Mock: Discussion Thread

Franchise tags, FA tenders, being under the cap, all that jazz has to be done by 7pm EST Sunday night. Restricted free agency will start on Monday night at 7pm and end Tuesday night at 7pm. This will be the one FA period with a firm end time. Wouldn't worry too much though because we only have 2 tenders so far and a handful of guys on FTs, but that would require giving up two 1st round picks (and not many teams have that).

Isn't it possible that we'll be drafting after the actual draft with how the system is geared this year? If everyone keeps waiting to up each other at the 23rd hour that'll take days to weeks on just round 1 of FA's

I'd guess we'll see a staggered approach where some bids are being wrapped up in a previous session while a new session opens up.

Not telling anyone how to bid of course, but the system is geared toward people bidding their max or close to it early in order to win the player early. Theoretically, it shouldn't be a problem outside of a few players here and there.

we came close once and that was a few days before the draft where we ended, but we started early this year and seem to be a week ahead of schedule. Free agency started on March 5th last year in the Forum Mock.
 
Keep in mind that I am looking to trade down from 1.7. Have my eye on a few players at the spot but I would love to have more picks.
 
I have either pick 1.7 or 1.13 available for trade, am also willing to trade BOTH picks to someone depending on the offer. Having one pick in the top half of the draft is nice, but having two is a complete game-changer.

And having no lockdown corners is also a complete game changer lol. Maybe you can draft 2 with those picks
