Pacman really keeps saying something is gonna happen tonight. My guess is it's happening tomorrow. And we might lose out to the Bills or Chiefs, but ultimately I find it difficult to believe these teams including us aren't gonna want to see the WR situation unfold first.

I mean I think it depends. Multiple reports out there that the media is higher on the WRs this year than the teams are. If that does end up being true, not really much holding anyone back from making a move today.

I see KC saying I'd rather have Zay Flowers than DHop. If JSN and Flowers and QJ are gone before 21 or something DHop becomes very attractive. But like if we're at 21 and only JSN is gone, DHop might not even be on their radar

Me personally, I'm not convinced KC is sitting WR or bust at their pick. They could use a few different positions and the values line up better at some of the others.

And maybe there's fire to that, but definitely smokescreen season. Would also say that I don't think that getting DHop means KC would be out on Flowers either. That WR unit currently looks a lot like the Ravens history at the position.

If my son signs a long-term deal and we get DHop in a trade, and draft 5-6 good prospects on defense and offense, we will win the SB this year and several more years. This is the year that Lamar will transition to the 1990 version of Michael Jordan, and Mahomes will assume the role of Isaiah Thomas as I've been saying. Thomas had 2 championships too... till MJ came to life with the right weapons.

I'm going to maintain my capital IFs because they're meant to standout...

But IF we end up with DHop and IF Lamar signs long-term, that's an EDC masterclass. Basically him going to Lamar and saying hey, we can get you these guys but you need to be willing to work with us to make it happen. And even IF those guys only stick for 1 year, you positioned yourself to be a true contender and got your QB locked up. And in the worse case, you got your QB locked up and have 2ish years of dead cap to work around.

Nothing about how we've approached this offseason lines up to that, though. Would be no reason to go spend $15-18M on Odell Beckham (with $11-14M hitting the cap in year 2) if we were going to go to a rookie/second rate QB.

Well I doubt Lamar was in Baltimore at the time, since its the offseason and Lamar is pretty much never in Baltimore in the offseason.
So if the plane was sitting at BWI, it wasn't there to meet with Lamar. Would which seem to be kind of important to do.
