We already resigned Broddy and JK is an obvious let him walk now that's his whole body is so unfortunately destroyed. Feel so bad for him. Dude is an animal. And he wasn't injury proned. He just got his entire knee destroyed and clearly that had off target consequences despite his hard work. Regardless, tangent aside, that really only leaves Madabuike and Queen as resign candidates. It seems awfully unlikely to resign Queen and I do think they'll prioritize Justin, BUT if they don't get Justin back, I would not be at all surprised to see us bring back Queen. I think we're gonna see that this year those two in the middle put on a Goddamn show

Honestly we really don't know if JK Dobbins whole body is unfortunatelly destroyed. For all we know the guy might end up coming back and playing just as well if not better than he did in 2022. It's not really a impossible thing given how advanced medicine and technology has evolved.

Right, but he's a UFA. So if he wants more than the vet minimum, he'll probably play elsewhere.
Plus we'll almost certainly draft somebody in mid-rounds or higher, so JK would still just be a complementary back.

In terms of drafted players, yes. There's a ton more FAs next year though.

OBJ
Zeitler
Pierce
Edwards
RYS
Agholor
Queen
Huntley
Stone
Darby
Madubuike
Dobbins
Urban
Duvernay

And a slew of other rotational players.

I want Zeitler and Madubuike back …. The rest eh, if it works great if not we’re good.

I don't think JK is an obvious walk. I think it depends on his recovery, but I could see us resigning him. Certainly hope we can bring Mad back.

I don't really see the point in bringing Zeitler back. He'll be 34. Maybe on like a one year deal, but you've got to get younger there.

I'm not opposed to losing some of them either. We surely will. However, its a pipe dream to expect to lose that many high-snap players and then sign Mike Evans. They'll need to rebuild most of the Dline and the Corner room alone just from losing that group. That's where the Mike Evans $ would go.

Makes a ton of sense to bring back Zeitler when you look at our current o line and depth. We won’t be able to fix the line and secondary in the draft. We don’t have the luxury of getting younger just yet.

No reason why we couldn't. It'll probably require a combo of draft picks and FAs, but I think you can also get somebody similar to Zeitler, at similar price points, who's 3-4 years younger. FA Guard market usually has plenty of good players.

We pretty much aren't going to have a choice to get younger, because we won't have the cap space in the next few years to be big spenders in the FA market either.

Idk about that, recent signings say otherwise. Im not anticipating a spending spree , but the organization has shown they’re willing to change their ways. They’re kicking more money down the road this year than ever before it seems.

Maybe. I'll believe that when I see it. This year may not necessarily be an overall change in cap strategy, as much as it was a necessity with a QB carrying a large # early in the offseason, and hedging against him playing the year under the FT.

If they were super serious about using void years religiously in the future, they could have done more with Lamar's deal to lower his hits in the short term.

I'm actually kind of surprised that Harmon had to settle for a PS spot. I know he's on the older side at this point but he's been a consistent starter throughout his career. Nice to get him in the fold.

Looking at that list of free agents next year, this really was our year. Hopefully we stay healthy and get Lindy, Stanley, and Marlo back soon and Marcus can come back near toward the latter half of the season all healed up.

agree and he's good in coverage. Also happy to have Fuller back in the fold.
