Good shit.. no pork nor beef!!!
No! We don't eat pork (a major cause of high blood pressure...for me) and very little beef due to digestive issues with it as well.

Yeah I mean his point about WR being one of the easiest positions to transition from college to NFL is true and fine. But yeah the arbitrary numbers he's using especially with a historical benchmark of 1k yards from a 16 game season in a now 17 game season is kinda pointless
It's an interesting discussion you're all having. Certainly the 1K/yrds for a WR isn't the same measure or indicator today as it once was, but it's still a decent scale. It was even more impressive in the day because most teams were basically running OFFs. You had OFF's like the 49ers with Walsh and the Chargers with Air Corielle, but 125yrd rushing + and another 125-150 receiving was more the norm; and those 150 receiving yards were spread across RB's, TE's, and WR's. It was just different and that's what made it such a remarkable thing.

But I'll throw a wrench in the mix to the argument that WR's are better suited to succeed today coming out of college... and for me it applies to even elite WR's coming out of college. The coverage just isn't the same. The amount of holding and interference that went on in the day - by today's standards, was remarkable and made the feat of 1k/yrds even more exceptional. Today there is still contact, but not anywhere near the level of many years ago. And, while PI penalties don't garner yards on the stats for WR's, those penalties do lead to additional downs and chances.

So for me, the fact that OFFs today throw vastly more than from when the stat was a benchmark for almost HOF performance, especially when done year after year, and the today's "hands off" rules really open the door for not so "elite" WR's to get close or surpass the 1k mark. I would tend to agree that "elite" WR's right out college are more likely to do it, but I don't know whether that's a statement to their being equal to WR's who did it under the old rules and game dynamic from back in the day.

I wonder what receiving total today would put the achievement at the same level of say the 1990 total...

I love some Oxtails. Yeah, beef is not easy on my digestive system at all. Like you, if I eat it (which I love hamburgers) it gives me the same effects as you, and I can feel it sitting heavily on my stomach due to the lack of digestion. So, I avoid it as much as possible. Chicken, turkey, and salmon are lighter on me and easily digestible so those meats are my main go-to's.

The day after Thanksgiving is my favorite. Families all gone , college football, tons of left overs that I turn into a sandwich , and quiet…. Yea that’s the good stuff

Yea we have lots of jamaican restaurants down here and them mfs be so good. Curry shrimp, jerk salmon..
my wife and i still eat meet ans pork, but we eat lots of fish and live a dirty keto lifestyle. This just means we aren't in ketosis. We have been doing this for 4 years. If it weren't for my wife we wouldn't be able to. she's an amazing cook and keeps everything interesting and always comes up with new recipes.

That’s the best way to do it. I don’t do keto anymore(too strict for my lifestyle), but I always try to keep my diet high protein and low carb. Lots of Chicken, steak, fish, and veggies.
