What would happen is the other team would pull their NT for a breather, so Marty would call up a two-yard screen pass where the receiver gets bundled out of bounds. Harbaugh then calls a timeout because the microphones cut out. Marty then calls Joe to the sideline to dial up a run for no gain, after which Joe has to wing it because the mic still isn't working and calls a play that goes for eight yards and a first down.
The depressing thing is that the only play in that sequence that seems even vaguely unrealistic is getting the first down. That's how you know we've been cheating somehow.
what's annoying in all seriousness is that marty can use joe's last operation of the no huddle as proof against concept - joe had 2 plays - a quick short gain and then an ill chosen throw outside for an int and a long return - but 2 plays shouldnt stop us from putting the offence on joe more often - i want to see him with the personnel on the field in the no huddle using his own intuition to identify the coverage - because as little as joe does it he's actually pretty good when he audibles and reads the defence and you know joe enjoys the expansive offences we've run in the past so you know he's not gonna call a conservative game either
so there are 2 things i want more of in this ravens offence post-bye - i want more play action and i want more no huddle - and even if they dont work they at least keep the defence honest by making them aware that we arent quite as 1 dimensional as we were before - it means they have to keep at least half an eye on the other alternative on a play which should open up the rest of the game - its the same with screens - we dont sell them well so the defence can divert straight to the receiver - little bit of well executed misdirection/variation please...
What’s crazy is that the Atlanta Seattle game this weekend could well determine the 6th seed - that’s how crazy strong the nfc is - that in all likelihood at least 1 of these 2 teams (or the panthers) is gonna be on the outside looking in

Yeah, I had Atlanta winning this game prior to Kam being out.

I actually had SEA before this injury news, now I'm not too sure. If this game was in the ATL, then yeah I'm going with the dirty birds.
