The Refs, the OL, and the Coaching

Okay, but I'm criticizing his usage through 2 weeks and how we aren't using him as a blocker more to assist our o-line that has struggled through two weeks. I think that if we use him as a blocker for atleast long developing pass plays we can create a somewhat more efficient offense
I don't think it helps because then it takes a pass catcher off of the field. They're routinely leaving in a RB to work pass pro, and letting Henry or Hill slide out to be the check down option when needed. I'd guess you could do that with Ricard but that takes another option away and again, telegraphs what's going to happen. Not to mention, we're a better team with Likely or Agholor on the field which is who Ricard would be replacing in these scenarios.

Sometimes… you just gotta start punching air when watching this team

The number of pass catchers on the field don't matter if Lamar doesn't have time to go through his reads. Atleast with Ricard blocking, Lamar will be able to go through his reads and find someone to pass to

The one thing I will say is roster construction was a failure.

The Ravens invest so damn much into the defense every year and way too much to allow 23 straight second half points.

And it blows my mind that they're bringing in Henry, but blowing up the offensive line. Like, huh? Poor scheme fit aside, why would you invest in a running back if you're not even going to have an offensive line?
NGL I agree, this roster construction overall was pretty mid.

Getting rid of Zietler and Moses and no plan of a serious replacement was concerning. So far, we've experienced a severe downgrade, and Mekari is getting dog walked out there, I see no reason for him to start at this point.

Derrick Henry also, stylistically is a poor fit. He's just zone stretch run type of guy. I was puzzled when we signed him honestly. Also, we're dead set on not giving up on Bateman and it's been a disaster. The guy just isn't it, that tipped pass to an INT screwed us bad.

I just do not think Ricard is a solution. We have bigger problems if we need a FB to be on the field to protect the QB and not be a lead blocker.

We had 5 sacks, and had Minshew running for his life, yet he still kept them moving. With a lot of help from the refs, of course.

I'm late to the board, but that DPI on Brandon Stephens. Bogus, right? Objectively? It changed the whole course of the ending, I feel. Not to put blame on just that call, but we had just crushed their momentum.
It was definitely a bail out, he had one final tug that was enough in their eyes to call it. Stanley’s hold also killed us
