If we get decker and maclin, sure it's not a long term thing but flacco should have no excuses even if the line is just average.

Serious question, are we truly at risk of our line being worse than 2 years ago? If so, how much worse? I thought that was about as bad as it gets...

If we have been able to develop a solid/good center we could get away with a below average RT.
The danger is there. RT is a lost cause as far as im concerned.

.023 seconds is not enough time for any receiver to get down field.

Good thing we'd have a WR capable of separation and another who can make contested catches. I still think we ultimately release Watson and possibly figure out another way to make cap space. I'd love the idea of Decker but think it can only come at the expense of Wallace.

Maclin is in and Ozzie may make a move on Decker. Kool! But all of that won't mean jack..if that O-line is piss poor!

It's so weird how our free agency philosophy has changed. Maclin, Weddle, Jefferson. Hopefully Ozzie has gotten with the times like this indicates. You shouldn't build your teams around free agents, but they are very important.

This is kind of the ripple effect of the below average drafts between 2009-2013. Not a lot of very good players to pay, so the money is going to someone else to join the young guys who are proving to be much better draftees. At least that's how I see it.

I'm very excited about this signing! I am praying he stays healthy. I'd rather they fix the O-line before they sign Decker.

So you think a receiver who only caught 44 passes last season and another injured receiver coming back would be good enough weapons? I'm sorry but if this was Eric Decker and Jeremy Maclin of 2015 maybe I can see it but a lot has changed since then. I'm happy they actually somehow got a receiver still in his prime but Maclin is anything but a sure thing and I don't even think he will beat out Wallace as the #1 guy, at least not right away.

I love thinking about potential of this offense but the team lost a hall of fame wide receiver who could be argued was a top 10 receiver this game has ever seen in Steve Smith. Maclin had one extraordinary season three years ago and other than that his career hasn't been extraordinary.

I'm usually one to hype up a player but I don't see it this time around. Maclin isn't close to Mason, Smith Sr., or Boldin at least as of today. Can that change? Of course it can and I hope it does. I know his lack of stats isn't because of him a lot of the time but Maclin was pretty injury prone early on in his career.

I think fans should try to stay a little more level headed on this signing. This offense is far away from being even in the top half of the NFL. And is it all Joe Flacco's fault? No because a lot of his inconsistencies lies with the offensive line and the wide receivers. It has been an entire offensive issue for a long time and based off of the past will likely not change until the Ravens find a consistent way to run the ball.

I don't think anyone is calling Maclin a bona fide number one. And he's definitely not a possession receiver in the same vein as Boldin or Mason, but one of the biggest problems with Wallace and Perriman is that both had trouble getting open despite their speed. Maclin probably has the best hands on the team at this point and his best trait (in my opinion) is using his route running skills to get open- especially deep over the middle.

I don't think his stats are very helpful in determining where he's at skillwise. Especially since he spent so much of his career with guys like Alex Smith and Michael Vick.
