Would you give up what the Bears did for Mack? I would, this roster is all-in worthy
Part of me says yes. Part of me says no. If I knew I was absolutely guaranteed a SB, yes. I'll take my win and the financial lumps and "rebuild" when the time comes. That's the hard part though. There are no guarantees and acquiring him and paying him shortens that window.

I've seen far too many teams take the all-in approach and fail to think the Rams are the norm. They're not unfortunately.

Realistically, need to think of it this way:
Would you gave up similar trade comp to Mack + let two of the three between Linderbaum, Likely, and Flowers, walk as FAs? The former two would be UFAs after this season.

Parsons just ain't that good. The obvious "most likely" scenario is the same as most of the others, which is that he signs a lucrative, long-term extension with the Cowboys. But IF he were to get traded, while I think the "fit" makes sense here, there's plenty of other teams that are in a much better cap position to take him on.

Tbh, other than the rams i havent really seen it.

Let's be real. Parsons isn't going to get traded most likely. We've seen plenty of guys (including our own QB) request trades ultimately to end up getting the deal they wanted all along.
He for sure isnt going anywhere.. id be surprised if he does

Other random notes from my guy:

- They've been in contact with a number of vet safeties but it truly sounds like it's a speed dial situation right now. Brade and Kane are both stepping up like they had hoped so far and they want them to run with it. They also genuinely believe Ar'Darius is in a position to make a late season return, and don't want to block him if he gets there, so they may opt to rotate guys on and off the PS for most of the season.

- ILB back end has been pretty bland. They were hoping for some pop from the UDFAs but Higgins has been quiet. Martin has been better but still not enough to really push anyone yet.

- Unless it goes completely haywire, expect Loop to be kicking this season and for there to be some struggles. They don't believe there's a better option out there, so they'd rather go with the youth and insane leg strength and keep working with him.

- Watch out for CJ Okoye

And then just my personal opinion:

It does feel like we're due for some roster shuffling here in the coming days as well. Obviously light at TE and seemingly light at RB with the UDFA missing a couple of practices in a row. Need someone to take preseason snaps and I'd rather it not be anyone of importance. Meanwhile, we have 12 WR and 17 OL rostered which is insane.

okoye's the type of guy who 100% could pop
international player pathway guy who only played his first organised game of football in 2023 preseason - athletically gifted

if he's taking to coaching, he's got the tools of a draftable player

he's also got the kind of size that he looks like an NFL player where some of the other udfas look undersized by comparison

You have a totally measured take that frankly I agree with. If I wanted to be petty, I'd say that loops ridiculous miss in college should've been evidence enough that something in the fundamentals is sufficiently wrong that will take some amount of time to fix. Therefore although he's possibly draftable because of the leg strength, he's ill suited to start in 2025.

but that's why they've changed his mechanics - to take the tools and adjust the fundamentals

but changing mechanics will introduce inconsistency until they can create consistency

100%. This just isn't the time to be doing that. You dont need folk to be hitting you 58 yarders. Just know that every time you ask him to get you 48 and under it's money. You know this is unfortunately true, every kick, no matter how short, we'll be holding our breath with Loop. Amd extra points too.
