Signings, Cuts, Trades

Back to square 1 with our biggest need. New coaching staff with a worse roster (for now). Lamar slow walking his contract again. Not feeling to optimistic about the team right now smh. I know a lot can change and it's still early bit what a blow smh.

But that falls in category we didn't know. And I just dont believe Vegas are legitimate scammers. Because as I was trying to articulate earlier, if they were obviously scamming, this exact situation would happen. And this situation is bad for them. Like really bad.

Add in the perception from the other teams are that we bitched out and it's hard for me to be confident we are in the right.

I'm probably a little bit more in your camp in this scenario. Seems there's belief on the Ravens side that the Raiders may have withheld some information, but it was widely known Maxx was recovering from a knee injury and the Ravens can't claim ignorance to that.

Ryan Grant failed his physical with the ravens too and didn't really last long after that in league. Crazy thing is he did play for the raiders before his career was over but it goes to show you teams simply have different medical staffs with different opinions on what flys and what doesn't fly in regards to passing a physical.

Ravens should’ve already known Maxx wasn’t gonna pass his physical, 2 months out from surgery. They still did the bid.

Optics is so bad. Everyone probably think Raven and EDC got cold feet and pulled out.

If we sign Trey tomorrow on top of that… lol.

It’s a bit weird but it’s hard for me to not think we pulled out. It seems kinda scummy and weird and very out of character, though. That’s why I struggle with the narrative and I’m like you where I’m 50/50 on how to feel. I’m very pissed we won’t get Crosby. Hendrickson is a good player but he isn’t Maxx Crosby. It’s also weird because everyone knows he had a knee injury and surgery. So what’s the problem? It doesn’t help we didn’t release a statement either.

Let me at least say... make no mistake, there were legitimate concerns with the knee. They definitely aren't making that up. It seems the big question is the tolerance with what the physical results were relative to the cost it took to get him.

But how could we know if we couldn't see the player before today?

LITERALLY ALL OF MY THOUGHTS

You do realize that the only source of info we had on Crosby was what they told us right? The only info we could get for ourselves was this physical? You act like saying we didn’t know is some absurd excuse when in fact it’s the only possible outcome until the physical today!

Yeah so if it was a single first round pick, a pair of 2nd round picks, etc, I’m sure we would’ve taken the risk but it’s multiple high first round picks that’s impacting the decision.

Then again, the knee injury is known.

I dont know if this TRUE. But the idea floating out there among the people in the league is that everyone in the league knew the situation. The in person thing was supposed to be a formality/ catch something crazily unexpected that was not the knee.

The though people are saying is you had the resources to know and you dont make a trade for 2 1sts if you're gonna pull out on the KNOWN issue of the guy.

Knowing a guy is hurt is one thing, knowing the extent of this injury when that player before is on record acting like he could play in the very same season is a very different thing
