It's weird how everyone is saying we backed out to go after Trey...... wouldn't we have just pursued Trey from the beginning and not even attempt to get Crosby? EDC would have backed out and bulked on the offer of two firsts immediately and said go get Trey, so something is definitely not adding up. Raiders are saying we backed out of the trade, great wording by the way to make us look like the bad guys in this situation. We said he failed a physical, while the Raiders are suspiciously not saying anything about a failed physical. @Simba, I know it's late but do you have any more info about what is happening or what went down?

Yeah so here’s the thing

1. Yes we did back out of this trade
2. Yes it sounds like we backed out due to a failed physical on a knee everyone knew had surgery
3. Yes we likely did back out because we traded 2x 1st round picks and didn’t like the risk we saw I assume

Those can all be true. We have historically been a good team and we don’t have a long history of this stuff but we have failed people before. I’m kinda 50/50 here because I think Crosby is still worth it and it’s a meniscus not a freaking Achilles or ACL or anything…right? Right?
