Joe Flacco

Lol it's not like he threw 4 TD passes before the 4th QTR. Not to mention they had two 14 point leads. The defense gave up nearly 450 yards of offense, 5 TDs and came away with one turnover(Yes, it contributed to a TD but that was the hallmark of their performance). All of this yet let's call out Joe. How many QBs manage to throw 6 TDs in Gillette stadium in a playoff game let alone 4?

Hard to do any more when your defense gives up 35 points on the road against one of the greatest coaches of all time.

Seriously, name me 10 QB's better then Joe during any separate year in his career. I can definitely understand the last three seasons or even 2013, but there are definitely years Joe has been a top 10 QB.
Didnt we give up to 30 to den and niners in SB? it doesnt matter how many points we give up.. flacco had the chance to win the game and made a terrible terrible decision. Make things even worse he has been like that his whole career so how can you truly say he is a top 10 qb?

If Joe Flacco is your complaint over the past 4 weeks, you have a lot of misplaced criticism. Dude has been far and away a revelation since that Detroit game.

Has it been perfect? No. Has he shown some issues with accuracy? Yes. But those beautiful passes that were so far and few between (think Malcin against Miami) have now become fairly regular each game.

In addition, if Flacco wasn’t playing the way he currently is, we would have nothing to play for on Sunday.

This is random, but I liked his TD pass to Wallace earlier in the season. I can't remember what team it was against, but it stuck out to me when Flacco was struggling.

It was a short touchdown pass, but he put it in a tight window. It was a really nice throw, from what I remember. I'll try to find it later.
I think I know what you mean.

Tight double coverage. Unbelievable throw unbelievable catch.

Well, I mean when your QB throws 3 TD passes and you're up 28-6 then I don't think it's a whole lot to at least ask the defense to hold them below 30 in the Super-Bowl. Also, there was a big throw Joe made to Anquan that gave us the FG to make it so that San Fran had to drive the length of the field to win the game. Had it not been for that big time conversion then we would have lost.

he is arguing that flacco has never been among the top QBs in the league.

its pretty much a correct statement as he has never been in the same class as the likes of brady, brees, manning and rodgers tbh.
those guys where back then and some still are the top QBs , with occasionally others guys having a season among their ranks.

2010, 2012 and 2014 where flacco best seasons and those 3 you could argue he would rank around the back end of the top 10.

I remember watching the mic'd up episode and Harbaugh was freaking out that he audibled to a pass, but damn if Joe and Boldin weren't going to have the most impressive run ever.
