Happy to pick up Korey Toomer for a draft pick that I really didn't know what to do with anyways. I tried picking him up in both last year's and this year's game in FA but the price went a little higher than I could afford, since I had cap constraints both years. Should be a good fit next to Mosley.

Since he was signed this offseason and retired in the same offseason.

You'd have to assume contracts are liable to players who immediately retire after signing them.

If the player was already on a pre lockdown existing contract and then retired, they would receive half back.

Unfortunate but I know we always looked at FA as an inherent risk when signing a guy headed towards retirement.

it was a good battle but ultimately as much as i like mewhort i was not willing to go as high as you were
