Mock Central

I view him as a very versatile S.

If a team drafts him to just be a CB they are morons.
Yup. He can play corner (probably better at nickel than outside) but his real strengths are playing at any safety spot and commanding the defense from there. Not too shabby as a dime backer, either but will require to beef up for that spot in pros, although that would be misuse of his best skills, imo.

that seems like a weird group to me - is it bigger than normal?

There were 22 last year as well
But yeah, some real surprises on this list

Miller, Alexander, Griffin, Vander Esch - I really don't see these guys as legit 1st round picks.

there's guys in there who i think are closer to the cusp of not being round 1 picks moreso than in previous years
those guys you mentioned (outside of griffin) all have a chance to go in the 1st but they also could all well fall out of the 1st and i dont foresee any of them going in the first half of the draft either even in a best case

and there's other guys on that list who very well could fall out of the 1st even if that's where they are expected to go

I could see alexander or grffin maybe going in 1st but moatbdef not miller nor vander.

The draft is coming up and id think all these mock draft experts would realize how good of a talent Maurice Hurst is but he’s still stuck at the bottom of the first round or completely out of the first round. I know we have depth at DT but I don’t think there is anyone on our roster who has the talent that Hurst has. He’s a legitimate top 5 talent in any draft class. I hope NFL teams view him like the mock draft experts do. He could be an absolute steal for the ravens.

i think mock draft experts are worried about the "heart issue" at the combine even though it was ok'ed - i agree he's a phenomenal interior pass rusher and would add to any team

DJ Moore and James Washington deserve it more than kolton Miller and taven bryan

Is Griffin supposed to just sit around for two days?
I think ever since the draft Aaron Rodgers sat there half the night they realized that the drama of someone waiting to get picked draws interest from people.

NFL desperate for feel good stories.
griffin and his brother went to my school but both transffered cause the older brother didnt wanna play because the younger one didnt make the team or something like that! Idk how true that is but thats what i heard from some of my boys that played on the team! anyway, thats a cool story.

Definitely great story and I am completely amazed at what he can and is doing. Still, it doesn't absolve NFL of cheesiness.
